I was casually scrolling through your opponent's (Haerteis) results and came across a fun fact. He won against Daniil Medvedev 7-5 6-4 at the end of 2015 haha. Of course Daniil was only 19 years old back then but still. Good luck in the next tournament!

I think Federer said he was always very sad when he lost when young and nadal once lost when he was just starting against Gaudio who just had won roland garros, gaudio said he was specifically shocked to see this young kid so angry and sad after losing against s the roland garros champion.., being sad shows that you care don t you think?.. and it pushes you to be better no?..

Nice match! Johannes has been destroying the "Road to ATP Points" since last year, when he beat Felix! 🤣🤣 One thing that seems clear watching the video is the footwork intensity. He definitely looks more intense and "ready" at all times, while it looks you were always one step too late, or a little "lazy". Of course lazy is not the correct word, as you were giving it all, but it seems that if you are able to improve on that part of the game you do have the tools, technically and power-wise, to beat these guys. Keep up the good work!

Being an armchair/keyboard ATP pro, there's one thing that stands out to me, lol. Your opponent is much taller than you, but when it comes down to footwork, he's actually more nimble and active on the feet. It feels like right after taking the split step, it takes you longer to launch toward the direction you wanna go, and when it's time to hit a power shot, your opponent's feet are just more planted or ready on the ground.
@bmpjjaa
@bmpjjaa Жыл бұрын
as a fellow keyboard ATP pro, I agree with your observation. I went back to watch the footwork intensity and it's definitely a notch or two lower. It's quite a bit sluggish compared to his opponent. I was first looking at the shots and I thought they were as solid as his opponent and I couldn't figure out why he was losing that badly. Now it makes sense. Thanks Keyboard ATP pro!

The difference between levels in tennis is the peace of the shot...obviously your opponent had more speed in his shots than yours even without moving that much ...so i guess the mental fatigue is not an excuse even in your best day he coudl take you 6-3 6-1 ...there is always place for development you just need to train harder and smarter to push your level brother 😊 .

You played well..just need more fast pace in your body/legs...also maybe more slices and mixing the game up on a "run around forehand opponent" ...If you find a indoor PE stadium with a plastic court/floor...use it for practice...it will get your rythm and body speed / raquet swing up to a higher pace. Just a tip. Practice hard...play easy. You will notice a big difference. Keep up the good work..the atp point will come.

Grish, he's LEFTY, yet you gave him a look at a lot of forehands in the vid, both serves & groundies...southpaws always have an advantage of regular games opposite righties whereas that is not the case in reverse. So tactics may have contributed as well. As you said, learning will come as a part of having exposure to higher seeds. Go get 'em lad!

Hey Grisha, Don't worry about it. It happens to the best of us. It's admirable you uploaded this as most youtubers would just say "my camera overheated and I wasn't able to string together any highlights" Just keep doing what you're doing because you are improving a lot. Just note what he did well and see if you can steal some of those areas for your own game and eventually you'll level up (a la like many video games lol). Getting bageled happens to everyone, I lost by the same score just recently. Don't let it get you down. Keep making cool videos and I feel one day you'll be playing grandslams. That's what I want to see you do. I think you can make it. Just keep evolving your game. Try not to plateau like many players out there.

@@gladiatorstribe Hey Grisha, you know what is a nice trick that I found that might help you against a player like Haerteis? Google his name, look at his recent play history within the ITF circuit. Google some of the matches he lost and see who beat him and try to find out how his opponents beat him. And see what those guys did well against him. Since you're playing ITF a lot of these players have their matches on youtube. I think it helps because you can see those players who beat him and you can see what things they do well not just against him but in general. I think it's easier on the ITF level than if you tried to do djokovic because of course djokovic is like a machine. But these ITF guys have items you can ID easier to give your game a lift. Good job by the way.
