Probably due to it being made in Ren'Py - it's kind of like a customisable template, with the UI / layout and how the gameplay works already being made as part of Ren'Py (play another Ren'Py game and the layout will be the same). Therefore, I can see a combination of Ren'Py (if you fuck it up it will most likely crash, so you can't really make it worse) and low effort/quality scripts/assets (shitty images, various spelling / grammar mistakes and I experienced multiple different songs being played at the same time in this game).

hey thanks! ive only just now realized my game is in this video XD, was 100% ready to eat shit with the replies. also, yeah no renpy was some of the most fun ive had programming if not only because its really easy to use. the endings menu was really the only "difficult" part. and thats stretching what difficult means. also, its technically not finished yet. dont know if it ever will be, but whatever.
