Especially when you compare this generation to the guys in the 80s that left England and came back after 1, 2 seasons (Lineker, Rush, Hughes) - I know two of them are Welsh, but it goes to show that going abroad isn't as scary as it once seemed - plus it seems a few of the UK players now have a parent who wasn't born in the UK, so maybe that exposure to other cultures growing up really helps (speaking as a London born person with non-English parents)

The sad thing is that there will always be twats who say they go abroad and play in farmers leagues coz they can’t cut it in the premier league.
