Not sure how often you read the comments, but a few days ago you had a video of Jackson going to the dentist to get his teeth cleaned. Me and my 3 1/2 yearold Genevieve watched it last night since she had a dentist appointment this morning. As she got into the chair to get her teeth cleaned she said to the hygenist "Im gonna be brave just like Jackson." and sat still and quiet for the whole cleaning. SO a special thankyou from Genevieve and her Mom to Jackson !

I am currently reading two books, both for school. The first is 1984 by George Orwell and the other is Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. Unfortunately neither are non-fiction but 1984 is a satire I believe and so it does have some historical aspects.

As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride by Cary Elwes I just finished listening to it and my husband is in the middle of it. It is so much fun to not only hear the stories from the movie making, but to hear his very familiar voice and his impressions of co-stars and others. Plus many of those he worked with read their own parts of the book as well! Six of my seven kids have listened to parts with me as we've traveled in the car and love it. (The two month old doesn't care much yet.) ;) So much Princess Bride quoting going on around here! We are getting a hard copy too, but I am so glad that I got the audio book! Extremely enjoyable!

I have loved a few *creative* nonfiction books this past year: From the Mouths of Dogs: What Our Pets Teach Us about Life, Death, and Being Human (BJ Hollars) I think you and Ellie would really like this book because you have such a sweet dog. Vessels: A Love Story (Dan Raeburn) Dan is one of the nicest people I have ever had the privilege of meeting at my college. The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein is fiction, but it is FANTASTIC as an audiobook. All three of these books are amazing.

Im adddddicted to the Chicken Soup books. There a book series of around 50+ books, with heaps of short storys inside. The books come in different 'genres'. Like chicken soup for cat lovers, or chicken soup for mothers, or chicken soup for couples, chicken soup for kids, and in each book is storys that the writer has come across about those topics. There absolutly wonderful books, you get the most happy feelings and emotions from the books. Have been a favourite of mine since i was a young girl!! Honestly you can find storys about so many things from their books!!

I'm reading The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman, but it's the military addition so it applies the knowledge in the book to situations after deployment. As a military spouse it has been incredible, but as a spouse in general I think everyone should be required to read it because it gives you the knowledge of how to love your spouse in the way they want to be loved and helps you understand why certain things make your spouse feel loved and why other things that may make you feel loved and appreciated don't make your spouse feel the same way. It's an incredible book and you can skip around between subjects without missing anything, you really only have to read what you want to.
