This is kind of off-topic but I just got caught up the last few days with a week marathon of your Romhack Wednesday playthroughs. One hack that interested me the most was "Quasi-Mario" for its graphical style and faithfulness to the Mario formula in general. I looked up the creator (Mikachu) on ROMHacking, he has like five numbered hacks in a series called Mikomari, one called Peppy Mario, and another called JUN Mario which is *very* similar to "Quasi Mario" plus a couple others. On his profile he also has a link to a site (in Japanese) and on the right side of that page is a list of all of his hacks, many of which are on Romhacking but some are not. Apparently JUN Mario is part of a series, with JUN Mario 2 and JUN Mario 3 being on his web site, and JM3 being... Quasi Mario as you played it. JUN Mario 1 on both sites have different ground sprites. Also, the entire Mikomari series patches produce ROMs with different checksums depending on which site you get them from, but I'm not sure yet what the difference is... there are no version numbers that I could find to give any clues, either.

Hey Kosmic, I have a hack suggestion for you. Its called Falling Mario. Its a very old Japanese kaizo hack that apparently was an inspiration for a lot of other hacks at the time of its release (late 90s early 2000s) There is a video on youtube of gameplay. It is very old and in very poor quality though, however it was surprisingly complex and had very deep knowledge of glitches and game mechanics for the time. I would be interested to see what your take on it would be or your thoughts
