Playing MySims Kingdom on the Nintendo Switch! (Streamed 11/19/24)

As a heads up for those wondering- apparently if you buy bundles in a pre-order the eshop only installs one. [answer provided by my game dev wife] That's an issue with Nintendo not communicating how their bundles work in pre-orders to EA, not an EA issue. though EA messes up plenty on their own of course.

it installed both for me but I wish that it would state in the e-shop the exact time of day the game is gonna be playable. Because I bought it the day it came out & I couldn't play it until 8 in the evening. I thought something was wrong

Hey! There's some secret outfits that were in the original wii version, apparently 3 of the 4 button sequences work in this version!! When in the pause menu, do these prompts (except the tattoo one.) Adventurer outfit down,down,down,down,up,up,up,up Gets detective outfit left,right,left,right,left,right Tattoo Vest outfit C, Z, C, Z, B, A, B, A unlocks swordsman outfit down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up The tattoo one may work i just don't know the new prompt.

MySims Kingdom for the Wii is VASTLY different than MySims Kingdom for the DS, which I grew up with 😅

I grew up with mysims ds and mysims kingdom wii and adore them. I got ds mysims kingdom and wii mysims many years later and highly dislike them 😅

@jordanjunimo from what I've seen so far, the storylines are super different, the mechanics for creating items/decorating are different, there's a whole zoo in the DS version that I'm not sure is in the Wii version. There's also so many character that don't cross over! The Wii version of MySims Kingdom also is much more fantasy kingdom inspired, whereas the DS version is more contemporary. The mini games are different too! Frankly it's an entirely different game from what I've seen so far! I'm a bit bummed that they are, because the Wii version is the one that got ported to the Switch, and I feel like they probably won't remaster two games with the same title to the Switch (':

Kayla I remember the nostalgia of playing this game and the highly requested Mysims Agents. I spent many hours playing this on Wii along with my then 8 year old daughter. She is now 20 and we both have this bundle on our switches. We both agree that if anyone can make the My Sims Agent game remake happen it’s you! Yes and I will explain. The Sims team named a cow plant after you. Stanley Humphrey a well known character created by you has his own work table for his rags to riches endeavors. We believe in you Kayla. And trust me I know that you would absolutely love this game.

In case anyone ever finds themself struggling with Tobor's legs in a future playthrough; the trick is to approach from behind them. Take the bridge that leads to the diner, then loop to the training area/launchpad the long way. You'll be behind the legs and it's SO much easier to guide them. I'm also writing this before Kayla finished that part of the quest, so if she or someone in the chat figured that out, apologies for being redundant.

Well the Wii/PC versions were “bigger” and had more characters/things to do in game so it makes more sense to remaster those versions rather than the smaller DS versions of MySims and Kingdom

I really wish this wasn’t a bundle. MySims Kingdom was the first video game I completed as a kid and I’d love to play the remastered version! I just don’t have that much interest in playing the original MySims. I don’t have $40 to spend on it but I could probably spend $20 on just Kingdom. And I’m in Canada so I’d have to pay in CAD which I haven’t looked up the price of yet lol.

I was an OG The Sims girl. It came out when I was a freshman in HS. I didn’t have a gaming system growing up but did have a computer so always gravitated to computer platform games. I got a Wii in grad school and tried this game originally. I wasn’t a fan. I’ve gotten back into console games recently so may give it another try.

Shakespeare often used they and there are records of trans people in medieval times. Also, comparing those works to an old sims game is a far reach. Then again the game and several classic works have been updated and have their languaged changed
