i have the kerry low f and the mk low f and whilst i love the mk for slower tunes i just love how easily the kerry flows through the jigs and reels hence my question below

Makes perfect sense, and I understand. I do think the Kerry whistles play much more easily than the MK Pro. The Pro has great tone, but I don't think it is that much better.

@@LowDWhistle yes that is certainly true for the low d, the f is the exception so far. The low g mk i have is really hard to hit the high notes properly i have been told it's because it's a wide bore and maybe for the g he ought to have gone for narrower and longer. That's why i am hankering after the a to be honest. it however sounds reaaaaly lovely in the lower notes very sonorous. I have particulare love for certain keys for some reason. Love the f , a , g and c for some reason best.

@@LowDWhistle Ah well that's great i haven't put it down actually i played it all day yesterday it's very sweet sounding. do a review . I'll be doing one soon of some of mine to help people out. I am finding increasingly i like the all metal ones better the mouthpiece suits me better than the delrin and i do like the sound they make.

could you please do a comparison between the lir and the busker low d as i am thinking of maybe getting the latter from kerry? it's all about how easy they are breathwise. would really help :)

I actually have a video I just finished editing where I play Carrickfergus on the Howard, MK Pro, and Busker. I was targeting releasing it on Tuesday, but I’ll schedule it for Monday. The Lir is very nice and plays well, but I really like Phil’s work. I think I like the Busker better. I’ll release both of those videos early Monday.

I just recorded a comparison between the Busker and Lir. I’ll have time to edit later, but I’ll publish them both at the latest by early, early morning my time so you can hear it. I may even get them published today. It’s a tough call, but I’d probably go with the Busker since there are hardly any (if any left), and it is on sale. Wait till you hear them

to get the mk's here in ireland with the import fees and what not always brings me over 350 euros even on second hand whistles which is such a shame i wish he would make them available to more shops here

It is crazy they are so expensive in Ireland. It's not like they are made half way around the world from you.

Yep I was very lucky the low d was a private sale from someone in Paris so no import fee so got it for 215 euros I was over the moon with that.
