Great review, @Darrell Braun Guitar. I'm from Denmark and I gotta say that we actually have a lot of great guitar makers right now. Morten Baum has hit the spot with the Original Series (the one you're holding). Lots of our greats bands and songwriters from Denmark play Baum Guitars. Check out e.g. Alex Vargas or The Minds of 99.

As always a great review. Only issue I have with guitar makers in general after playing most everything in 50 yrs of playing. When making a $1700 guitar why not offer S/S frets. Honestly, I can buy a well made guitar off of Amazon for under $500 with S/S frets/LocTuners/Roasted neckts/VG electronics etc., and many are very nice players.

In the 50 years that I have been playing, I have never bought a guitar online. You can't buy a guitar online. At least I don't. Try it, feel it "alive". If anyone knows how or where, I would be grateful. It seems like a very interesting guitar to me.

Very cool guitar, thanks for the review! I noticed (but I could be wrong?) that with the overdrive, you lose a lot of bottom end. Now that could be the recording, it could be the type of overdrive/ settings, but the clean sounded a lot better and richer to me than the drive tone. Could that be the pickups, sounding thinner and flatter (agian, it could be the recording and I could be entirely wrong) when the signal coming from them is boosted? Or does this have nothing to do with the core sound?

Wow, those pickups really do a great job of combining the balls of a P-90 with the chimey top end of a Jazzmaster pickup. I wonder, do they maybe use 1 Meg ohm pots?
@baumguitars Жыл бұрын
1 Meg would be too chimey (for most, but some loves it). We use 250K per standard, but some add 500K for some extra top-end :D

Its really, really cool - a lot to like. But not beefy enough with gain, I feel... A little tinny sounding. Ive got an SG (Gibson) with a minihumbucker in the bridge...and its a little tinny, and not the beefiness you get from a full sized HB. This may be different in the room, in your own hands though

That's very nice. Except for the Bigsby ... I hate Bigsby trems with an intense passion and would rather have a cheap knockoff Floyd Rose with rubber bands instead of springs over a Bigsby. But with a stop bar instead this is pretty nice. The pickups look like a cool cross between P90s and Teisco gold foils (but appear to sound more P90ish, which is great).
