They should do it again but preselect 6 "pokémon / cars" so that there's no chance to "counter pick" each others cars

Why? Playing Pokemon is about counter picking against the npc. Most people constantly switch their pokemon to give them the advantage, especially against gym leaders and elite 4 members where you know exactly what type they use...
