Thanks for the free therapy sesh. I think the thing with highschool friends is that we have all now taken on different paths of life. It's been a year since I graduated from highschool and now we're all in different universities. I know they care for me and of course we're still in touch. On the other hand, people at uni are very nice and very smart and have various skills, so I find it hard making friends because I may not be as good as them. Maybe I'm not the person someone would ask for help or smth. Another reason to study hard lol. Take care.

i know the feel dude, making friends in college is tough cuz everyone is so impressive it's kinda scary lmao, and (at least at my college) there's this big pressure to make friends. but i feel like it's not even worth worrying that much about , cuz that stuff tends to work itself out in the end. so yes, keep on studying lol. good luck at uni dude & have a great rest of your day :)

The best thing I ever did to be happier is to stop trying so hard to be happy. It is a paradox. Think about it. If you desire happiness, that means you are unsatisfied with your unhappiness. But it is that dissatisfaction that is creating the unhappiness in the first place. If you become ok with being unhappy, then you are no longer unhappy being unhappy. You are happier. It is unintuitive but very real. In the past year I switched to just accepting that life is not always happy and I am just gonna embrace that life is hard and not try to change it. I picked up more jobs to cushion my finances and just accepted that life is hard. I think I'm happier than I've ever been in my adult life.

Just found your channel and I must say I love your contemplations on life in your early 20s. I'm already 29 but I deeply relate to many things you say.. makes reminisce on the struggle that was my early to mid twenties... Now that I'm knocking on 30, wisened and hardened by life, I feel like I'm on my way to the peace of mind I've always sought.. Wasn't easy, and I almost lost the battle on a few occasions. Anyways, looking forward to your future videos 💟

I am 23 and working in a remote job but feel like that guy from office space. Just completely disillusioned with what my life has become and how I'm using my prime years sitting around for 8 hours a day doing something that doesn't fulfill me. As kids were pressured into stability and sacrificing our wants & desires to fit into the corporate mold. I want to actually do something with my life but I'm scared to venture out, especially in an economy like this where we are walking on a recessionary tight rope, ready to crash down

yeah life after college gets lonely as you grow away from your friends and your life becomes more centered around working. adulthood ends up being something where youre trying to figure out how to tolerate working a job that is probably not fulfilling but keeps your finances afloat while trying to find a balance in the very small extra time you have to maintain relationships or do things you like or really… live

Regretting the regret in your life that becomes regret that you start regretting that you regretted, and then you regret that you regretted regretting which is another regret that you later regret regretting cause you regretted.

@introvertedmadness Жыл бұрын
glad u could relate dude :) yea i think something i realized is that literally the only person i can control is myself - you can try to convince/persuade/trick other people, but at the end of the day, they're gonna do what they're gonna do. i think that's why i've found its important to get a lot of my happiness/validation internally, instead of externally. anyway thanks for watching and commenting, hope u are doin gr8 and havin a chill day

Unfortunately people online AREN'T real friends Unfortunately because they aren't there in person to fully provide support. As an introvert and 36 year old slightly successful 😅 Make sure your new friends resonate with you and have things in common. For example im a nerd and i play yugioh competitively so i meet people going to local tournaments first. Now for business world i meet friends/mentors by attending high end meeting and events until something happened because i had a very SPECIFIC goal in mind. But yes... you can make friends that will be there forever, regardless the situation.

right click on the heart to heal yourself, "V" key for the car menu, press E in front of the car to get the car information. Don't fight a ton of zombies without a decent weapon + experience. I've been having a lot of the same thoughts and a book that has been helping me lately is Quarterlife: The Search for Self in Early Adulthood. It might be worth checking out for you as well? My one critique is it doesn't focus enough on relationships and building them rather than 'cutting people out'. A couple of substack newsletters I read just wrote about the isolation that making yourself 'perfect' and solving your inner problems before seeking out relationships can induce, and I have to agree with that critique of self help books like this as well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts in this video!

My early twenties ended a couple of months ago. From my own experience, don't worry, it gets worse! Nah but for real. The entirety of your twenties, well I reached half of it but still that's what many said to me, seem to mostly serve to get some goddamn sense of orientation, to work through various issues and the damages you might've received earlier in life. And from what I can tell, that kind of never really ends since obviously life is complicated and likes to surprise you with new bullshit. Personal happenings aside, who knows what our generation will have to face on a global scale. The growing isolation, the crumbling economy, climate change, political developments and so on. Which makes that pressure, the feeling that the clock is ticking hard, not exactly any less noticeable. It's tough. But uhh... Life finds a way. We'll manage.

Wish someone told me this when I was a kid, I became alegal adult and felt no different, figured it would click in my twenties so kept being a kid, now I am 39 and still feel no different than when i was 17 or 21, just more jaded. My advice: get shit done when young, after 30 your body starts giving up unless you dedicate waay to much time and money to upkeep.
