Man that first game had a lot of potential… I was getting excited along with you - a nice unique spin to a rust type game. I was imagining train battles and cool travelling locations and stuff, but yeah, the crafting would annoy me as well.

I highly recommend a game called subsistence. Building is very much rust like.The game has been early access for years. It has all been done by 1 person not a team. It's a little tough getting started but gets better as you learn the game. Very addictive game play .

@brityt yeah, that's the problem when they try to take a specific game like Rust and try to find similar games based solely on mechanics and not so much on gameplay feel. That said, if you haven't yet checked it out, you might consider looking at Once Human. It is an enjoyable free game with base building, farming, survival aspects, both pve and pvp servers, it has little pets like Pokémon lol and an aesthetic similar to like a Stranger Things type setting. Mostly suggesting since it is free, given how much you've dropped on some of these games that barely deserve to be on steam lol

Rust's pipeline system in is inspired a lot by Satisfactory. As the name suggests, it's *very* satisfying to play. Restart the game after you finish the tutorial is the only advice I can give. Love the music in Void Train btw. Matches the pace and tone of the action so well.

If you liked that last game, you'll love satisfactory. It's a better version of what you were playing at the end. Its ao much fun. Also, my husband and I played rust a lot, and then you put out a video of icarus, and now we play it 😂😂😂😂. So much fun!! And actually, get to keep your progress!!!

Unturned is a hidden gem that plays a lot like rust. dont let its mincraft like graphics fool you. it is a heavy PVP game with a lot going on.

Try out & days to die. Once you play vanilla you can then go to the overhaul mods like 7d2d EndZ or 7d2d Darkness falls or War of the walkers. Loads of re-playability.

In Voidtrain, why is he not drinking water? He's complaining about healing himself but he's not drinking water...
