Spiritfarer is on my top games list - specifically for games that meant something to me/changed me as a person. Really excited to watch someone else experience it - no one I know has played it which is a shame.

An ex who meant a lot to me showed me spirit farer and it definitely felt like such a meaningful piece of media for me during the time of my life - watching Kayla play it really brings me back to that time :’-)

i’m so excited for this! spiritfarer is one of my absolute favorite games that i’ve ever played. The animation and art is absolutely stunning, the soundtrack is one of the best i’ve ever heard, the writing is so witty yet emotional and heartfelt, and the gameplay is somewhat simple yet extremely rewarding and kept me engaged throughout the game. There were times playing it that i felt as serene as i’d ever felt, and there are times that the game made me cry like a baby. truly can’t recommend it enough

Thank you Kayla for always introducing games to me and brightening up my day. My mum passed away from multiple myeloma just a month ago and watching your videos always get me through the day.

I feel you so much My mom had 8 surgery in 6 months and i thought i was gonna lose her so many times I couldn't face death. But in a way it kind of helped me make peace that she would be in a better place and stop suffering

I picked Spiritfarer and I’m SO happy to see Kayla playing it. I’m prepared to cry again!

@@Xyla_Grace big spoilers ahead for both alice and stella. Real life Stella was a nurse and Alice was the first patient to die in her care. (Bawling) In the game, as Alice's story ends, she shows a lot of signs of dementia. (Bawling) She has your character dress up as someone close to her, that's why you unlock the clothing options from her house. As you take Alice to the door, she thinks that you are that close family member the entire time. It's overall super sad and will absolutely make Kayla cry. Some of Alice's other quests are sort of made to show her declining mobility and mental state, where one has you move her house down to the very bottom of the stack so she doesn't have to go up the stairs, and you walk her to the front of the ship in the mornings and back to her house at night because she has trouble walking.

Maybe it's because this was one of my first games i actually played and finished by myself but watching this is reminding me just how good it is. Definitely one that i compare other games to now because it's just so emotional and whimsical at the same time. The music instantly throws me into it again and now i'm getting the itch to start a new save
