First things first GREAT JOB! Best anti spider out there is Proximity or ethereal spike traps. Spikes do more damage and can stun some enemies but have a slower reset and are lightning elemental vs Proxy physical damage so SD aura or darkness are needed to strip affinity. Sadly Spiders are Immune to gas traps even if stripped. As for additional Possible to clear ruthless challenges or levels Unlikely Allies MAY be doable. It felt quite easy when I ran it with two other players. Granted 3 of us versus solo and with higher stats than yours's and we know the challenge very well BUT it felt like not that bad of scaling so that one MAY be possible. The hardest part of that challenge on ANY difficulty is the Ogre you protect. He behaved himself and stayed out of harms way but sometimes he just plows on into waves of enemies witch is a death sentence for him. There are some very well known strategies to make unlikely allies much easier as well but my best tip is give that one a shot on your own and let your creativity shine! ABSOLUTE YOU WILL DIE! Ruthless challenges barring Jester cheap shots of course include the following. Death from above,Wizardry (10million+ HP skeleton spam) Ogre crush is just crazy hard. Raining Goblins was a bit of a brutal experience. Not as bad as many others but still probably stat walled. Zippy terror is Zippy terror IF you haven't done that one yet try it on a lower difficulty and judge for yourself what you think of the challenge. Of course the YOU WILL DIE list I gave is perfect to work your way up to. GOOD LUCK AND AS ALWAYS HAVE FUN!

Don't underestimate the turtle stance on barbarian, not only does it *drastically* reduce the amount of damage you take, it also makes you immune to being webbed. Plus you're practically invincible with turtle + siphon. In fact I very rarely use siphon outside of turtle since it makes you take triple damage. Just be aware that using tornado or turtle stance while the other is already active will cancel the previously active one.

it seems like some maps werent properly balanced on ruth lol, they just seems to have the same if not slightly higher scaling than nightmare

10:02 everything is really tanky on ruthless, plus lightning towers don’t have MUCH DPS as a base line, with buff beams and builder bonus plus upgrades those things start to SHRED

Ruthless is difficult pretty much no matter your lvl or gear especially on maps like the lost shard dlc

@clobzz nice! That's how I've played it for years, I did need help on the Christmas map when I first did it (not enough dps) the difficulty spikes up pretty significantly a few times but it's so rewarding to take maps down solo

@clobzz wowzers, you're quite a bit ahead of me on everything, pahaha, there are a ton of maps I cant do yet before I can take on CR maps, I've been being lazy about finishing regular CD on NM mode, lastly died because didn't know what to expect from the boss wave xD

I havent watched all yet but for example between around 6:50 and 7:00 why are you not utilizing the very strong monk tower boost ability? Its one of the most powerfull skills for your towers. Maybe im missing out on something though haha. Have a good day :)

why are you not using buff beams?

buff beams increase aura size, so you could be using a lot less auras and have them + lightning towers buffed with 1 buff beam

also hermit towers have something similar-ish to app lightning towers, the spore tower that's an aoe poison damage tower

1. because he can 2. its not bad, its just that in this case it is because his isnt properly set up nor is he using it in the way it works best
