Sort of done a trial run of that campaign with the mods although it was just a bounty this is total war (survive for x turns). Also Yuan Shu’s mechanic actually isn’t bad for this is total war since it’s more internal development focused

@@SeriousTriviaGood luck. I find the game not torturous enough so I'm trying a campaign of moving north and start building a family while holding only Yanmen without county for over 300 years with no expansion. Kinda like Northern tribe. Good to see you keeping 3K content alive.

I look forward to seeing this campaign play out. I do not know the history, but in the game, I do remember Kong Rong leaving the Emperor's court and being declared an enemy of the state, so "This is Total War" I do see as appropriate as well as challenging. Anyway back to watching the start.

CA was heavily inspired by the movie Red Cliff 2008 that they visual base the Game on the movie even most of the Chinese Actors and Actresses was use for the General Portraits that include: Takeshi Kaneshiro as Zhuge Liang Zhang Fengyi as Cao Cao Chang Chen who play Sun Quan now use for Yuan Shu Zhao Wei as Sun Ren Hu Jun as Zhao Yun You Yong as Liu Bei Batdorj-in Baasanjab as Guan Yu Zang Jinsheng as Zhang Fei They use the likeness of Chinses actress Lin Chi-ling who play Xiao Qiao for four Female Generals Lady Mi/Lady Bian/Da Qiaoin/Xiao Qiao, And also use some actors from three kingdoms 2010 and Cao Cao (TV series) 2015 and the movie Resurrection of the Dragon 2008.

Only really hard campaign I had in 3k was Liu Yan with all handicaps on, still 3k is an easy Total war and there is a lot of cheese

got around 500 hours in the game. recently finished my kong rong 190 escape to dongan(?) campaign, and i just realized how great fury of beihai and culture income were. now i rate them alongside sun jians + sun ce mercenary troops as my fav faction unique units! oot. recently i have been watching older lets talk lore, i recalled you said that Cao Pi isn't a big fan of wei second generation officer(?)(family) when Cao Cao rely heavily on his cousins, in-laws, his family overall? is it mostly because the second gen. upbringing or does Cao Pi think they are just not that capable?

I’ve been playing Warhammer 3 again recently, but I don’t know why this game just hits different, dont know if it’s my bias for this period of time in Chinese history but the game is just so good. ST have you thought about the “all factions playable” mod for a future series? Some really good starts in the yellow turban rebellion and the 194 start.

there are plenty of modded campaigns and we will definitely revisit to do a few more. I am waiting for 190 extended to get an update and then to go back and try a minor faction

I mean I did say base game so 190. I am sure all the 182 start Han factions would be very hard since you basically have full diplomatic vision at the start and would have be at war with everyone right away.

Does declaring alliance war counts too? I have an unfinished He Yi campaign save file where I meet Yuan Shao and declaring alliance war to drag his alliance members that I haven’t met yet into the war preemptively before even meeting them. I mean, it’s not like I will agree to end the alliance war since I’m trying to do that achievement in that campaign. But this declaration, unless I’m mistaken, technically does not put their faction into war directly with me. An example is in another campaign, I was dragged into an alliance war by another faction but somehow I am still at war with some of the faction even we ended the alliance war. I ended up in the same alliance war and kept my eyes peeled and one thing I notice is iirc sometimes there was no declaration notification, it’s just their diplomatic colour changed from pink (enemy alliance member) to red (in direct war) while an alliance war is going on.

I am not sure for the purpose of the achievement but i wouldn’t recommend it for anyone trying the achievement since alliance war can peace out without you knowing I believe

I don't know if it necessarily DQ's you but I've done several full This Is Total War campaigns and haven't gotten the achievement to pop. At one point or another through the campaign, I did end up in an alliance war so maybe that's the issue.

One big issue with this achievement is the looter faction afaic. It's very easy to have vision of them but not be at war with them and since they don't appear in the diplo screen you cannot check whether or not you actually met them...
