The reason the Kranvagn doesn't have a higher winrate is the low penetration values and complete lack of hull armor. This raises the skill floor some. A lack of side turret armor also makes it less of an EZ ridge farmer, multiple engagement angles quickly wear it down.

A little price to pay for a 3k dpm 1.2k damage autoloader on a turret that can't be penetrated from the front no matter how hard you try. And it also goes at 60km/h with nice power/weight ratio and has the highest gun depression in the game.

300 gold on kranvagn vs 306 (or 304 i can't quite remember off the top of my head) of the vz 55 is not that much of a difference. armor isn't an issue either because while the kranvagn does technically have weakpoints on top of the turret, realistically you might as well quit because it's next to impossible to hit if the kran driver just move back and forth a bit. the thing that makes the vz a superior tank according to the wr and avg dpg lies in its speed. the kranvagn have a higher top speed, but its terrain resistance is absolutely trash, making the effective top speed actually lower than that of the vz 55 - which while having a lower theoretical top speed limit, have good terrain resistance, making the effective top speed slightly better.

Kran players most times either over peak, over extend(to far in front) or they go alone and get yoled. Super conq is just a damage god and vz burst is just good for decent players

I also find that if you pretend you have shells by not backing down it works really nicely, atleast until you meet someone who actually counts the shells.

So much has changed in the last 4-8 years. Almost all the guides could be updated with field mods at least, and with Arty nerfed so badly , so tanks are much more uselful,,,and some of the lights less so.

That last game was painful to watch... no one @ mid and muppets on the beach. At least the other team stayed off the beach. I get the arty avoidance, but beach is beach. Those lag spikes... eek. Hate when that happens. When that happens to me, I am usually double tapped on the W key. LOL

Sure, the set up helps good players to reach that another level. But I think that the MOST important is the WAY you play and the DECISIONS you take while in game. Sitting in the back, idling not knowing what to do, take no risk and looking at what other players are doing in your team is surely the wrong way to get nice results.

@@bobkowalski7655 Many stats are better, but some important ones are worse on Kranvagn. Vz has better gunhandling when moving hull or turret, shorter intra clip reload and higher damage per shell. And a problem with autoloaders is that many people want to hit their whole clip at once. Vz can unload his clip in 2 seconds, Kranvagn needs 5.5 seconds, which often leads to eating a ton of unnecessary damage in return because you were exposed for too long.

kranvagn play demonstrates exactly what is wrong with Wot and why it is so good at the moment. It has an unpenetratable turret even with gold, but loading gold yourself just reduces the armor of most other ones to useless. All superheavies are just meatballs for HEAT, but kranvagn, chieftain and 279e can just go hulldown and blast everybody to pieces

Qb FYI the lag is not your connection its the servers . In the last week or so like 50/81 people in the clan have complained about lag spikes. And for some unknown reason the lag spikes for me always heppen when ceossing a bridge,when i am at the edge of a cliff or if there is a few Jg pz e100s at the corner....

One of my hated maps in wot is overlord. Players always contesting the beach rather than committing the upper part. Most of my losses in overlord is by enemy swarming the upper part because of the 2/3 of my team decides to go into the beach. Real frustrating.

Did you seriously look at this list at the end and say "tanks with decent turrets are now dominating the meta"? Qb, please do not pretend that the hulldown meta is somehow new. It's not. It's been this way for years now. And there's a lot of weird false correlation in your statement as the list of highest average damage dealt by all players with any given tank doesn't mean that a tank is on top of the meta when you consider all the appropriate factors that goes into it. If that list meant what you seem to imply that it does, then you'd think that the 50b is also dominating the meta or that the rino is apparently better than the 60tp and the obj 277. I mean c'mon.

World of tanks was behaving exactly like that for me with lag-spikes. I checked everything (I thought) i contacted my ISP and had them do pings and stuff and they could see that something was wrong and they promised to send a technician my way if I still had problems after the weekend. On a pure whim I went and checked the network cable coming from my router and it wasnt fully in... After pushing it all the way home my problems were gone. I don't know how a loose cable can cause intermittent lag spikes like that but it happened =)

cos most TDs have big alpha dmg guns, and if they would have that high dpm as well it would be outrageous. But the TDs with lower alpha dmg do have higher dpm, just look at the Strv 103B for example. But you also have to compare most TDs with the heavy tanks which have similar guns, like the E-100 or the 60TP. I believe in that case the DPM of the TDs is higher.
