10 years later & Donkey still giving Dashie a challonge (and Toad sometimes). This actually is due to the built-in rival system in Mario Kart 8 & 8 Deluxe, since in those games (along with MK7), Toad & DK are Yoshi's rivals, so they're given big advantages that make sure Dashie doesn't have an easy time. One advantage being the rubber band powered AI, so they quickly catch up to Dashie if they're behind.
