One of my favourite encounter with the 279(e) was in a battle against tier 8 where me and the enemy 279 were the only top tier heavies. My Maus just bullied the 279 without too much he could do. 😄

You should try double stacking a durability and improved configuration. It revolutionized the way I play my 279 and allowed me to 2 mark it since my track repair time was 3 seconds. Its worth sacrificing the turbo and and vents it also means you dont have to take safe storage. Cause you are basically an untrackable death machine

In addition to wedging your tank up you need to wiggle your turret to make your cupolas more difficult to hit. They are very small to begin with but as we can see, they can still be hit.

@@FlyLeahyou are missing the point. Bombs like that aren’t dropped on top of a tank. So the chances of being in suprisingly small fireball are slim. So technically building a tank that survive nukes and runs afterwards is possible. The crew will be baked though.

Hmmm, I am surprised QB was unaware of that potential arta shot through that top floor gap between the two buildings. When I play arta with high trajectory on this map from north spawn, I always look out for enemy tanks who are hugging the building, allowing my shots to hit them like in QB's case.

i really hate what they did to the outpost heavy flank. you are correct, it's amazing for 279e. but what wg did was make strong tanks stronger and weak tanks weaker on this flank. previously i could defend with the weaker tanks due to the bushes and better positions. now this flank just stinks.

Its non that easy to play. Every tank has the potential to be OP, the only thinks that matter is who is using the tank. For example if you are bad the tank will be bad too

@filipposibille5540the 279 is the easiest tank to play because you literally just have to point your tank towards an enemy and there’s a good chance they bounce if they don’t have good penetration All other tanks have a lower plate you need to hide to even have a chance at bouncing shells. The 279 can bounce in the open ground because of no lower plate

Absolutely not Crossplay ruins every game it touches I’m glad wot doesn’t have it It wouldn’t work anyway because the graphics on PC are far superior because a lot of console players are still on ancient PS4’s and XB1’s. And PC’s aiming is entirely different as well. On console there basically isn’t such a thing as gun bloom anymore since the 6.0 update. You can cupola snipe with an E100 from 400m no problem

Why doesn't anyone, and I mean REALLY NO CC, mention that after changing the perks, WG took away the possibility of boosting the crew after training for a new tank!!?? Previously, for 20k gold there was an 85% crew and now only 60% before, when you wanted to raise it to 100%, you reset the perks and now only books 850k exp for a single crew member or 200 gold??!! WHAT IS THIS!!!

279 E... Tier 10.5 (yeah WG said in a review, not me). I really don't like when they lock Broken OP tank behind skill-based grind, so that only players who are the best players can get it to be even best that they already were. I wish there was an option somewhere to "toggle" casual mode on and play on tier 9 & 10 without getting bounds & maybe less exp, so that you could just learn how high tier plays without meeting tanks like Concept 1B, Ebola or Chifitein... Or maybe just like we can "ban" maps we don't like, we could get a moba-like solution, so you can "ban" certain tanks so you could not play them, but it would not be possible to play against the too nor have them in a mm at all.
