12:25 I think we can learn a lot here. QQ is drawing to 1 clean out here 90% of the time or even every time while potentially drawing dead to quads here. I think it's very important to make folds like these on the flop to save up 75 bucks which will add up a lot over time. Given the perceived range of the initial raiser it's possibly JJ+/AQ+. we block QQ and AQ and those hands probably won't even bet into multiple people so we are left with KK AA and AK.

Excellent fold with Aces. One of the things about these Texas poker games is that people will call a raise with all kinds of unlikely hands in addition to their regular ranges which can crack a hand like aces. Kudos to you for listening to your gut and making a good fold in a situation where aces are almost certainly beat. Texas Tommy is like the quintessential Texas poker player. It's impossible to know what he has because he plays almost any two cards, he runs like a god, so if he's putting money in he almost always has it. This is especially the case when he's blasting off and it doesn't seem to make any sense. That being said, because his style is so unpredictable, it's really hard to catch the bluffs that he mixes in and they are usually big bluffs with air for big pots, not the blocker-based or semi bluff hands that you would see from a more traditional poker player. And even though in some situations he will call people down light, it seems when you really have a monster he can sniff it out . The only time I seem to get Texas Tommy for a lot of money is when I play a monster passively and he's just trying to blow me off it, and even then it's not easy because sometimes he still has a bigger one. I find this type of poker player extremely difficult to play against lex, and I'd love to hear any thoughts you have on meeting this strange Texas poker meta now that it seems to be going so well for you.

Paying attention at the table to what every player is doing is very important if you are to succeed. I would say that you had the correct reads in the hands that we saw. Most people would have continued with those aces and lost a big pot. Hope the run good continues for you.

I actually think most people check/jam aces there and I actually think you get QJ to fold. He has an 8 out draw, that's it. You check jam aces there, you get both of them to fold, cuz the girl said she only had 1 pair. She probably had 88.

@7:42 does the fold register on the nit scale? Yes. Is it the nittiest fold of all time? No. In fact, I think it is a good fold. UTG 1 has all 3 sets, pocket pair plus straight draw, and naked straight draws(some have BD flush draws) in her range. TX Tommy could have anything UTG 1 has, additionally, random 2 pairs as well. When UTG 1 bets 2/3rds pot, and then a call, it is likely you're behind at least 1 of them. With it being live poker and UTG 1 being described a tight, conservative player, I don't see their bet as a bluff. As you stated, there are so many cards you don't want to see on the turn, therefore, I think I would have folded as well.

Folding those Aces was a very disciplined move. I got stacked the other day because I wasn't quite as disciplined. I 3-bet original raiser preflop, he calls. I also put him on a middling pocket pair. Flop comes out J-9-7 or something like that. I bet, he raises, I jam, he has a set and holds. Anyway, I told myself a couple months ago that I shouldn't be overvaluing top pair or pocket pairs as much as I do. Guess I gotta be better about it lol.

I now play full time because I have been a winning player the last 5 years . In these 6 months that I have been playing I have never ran worse in my life .
