I had the Mother's Wisdom deck but couldn't relate to the theme so I sold it. I think the new deck will resonate much better and I think the artwork is an improvement. Thanks for the comparison.

I know I couldn't use the new Sacred Feminine deck. I have a really specific relationship with Mother's Wisdom. I use it constantly. As a mum of a young child its very specific motherhood focus is unique and very special. The guidebook for mothers Wisdom speaks to mothering so specifically and poignantly... no other deck does that. And I don't think I could use a deck that's so similar but not it. If you know what I mean. But as Mother's Wisdom is out of print, it's nice that the new deck is available. But I know a lot of people who would love the OOP deck because of its mothering focus. But for people who aren't interested in the mother theme then the new deck will be more broadly appealing I'd imagine.

I could totally see that! If my children were younger (or I had this deck when they were younger) I think that would have made a difference for me too. They are both beautiful decks, but I agree the original deck has a much more mothering energy to it. I'm glad I was able to save you from buying it hehe :)

I like the new cards, that Whale is gorgeous! I also prefer the new deck's card backs. I don't have the Mother's Wisdom but if I did I would probably keep them both, they seem to tune into different stages of femininity. Thank you for showing us the differences :)
