I started Fishing North Atlantic because of your videos. Was trying to fast travel out of a town and my boat ended up stuck on this divider made of rocks. All I see is “hull damage” over and over as I’m trying to get it off! Of course I hadn’t saved in like an hour. So I reloaded and the cost to fix the damage was over 80,000! Reload a save and lose an hour of work, or pay the money. 😂 lesson learned!

Buy the tow home package along with the boat insurance package. Never had any issues after doing so.

Hi, in this game the boats pivot around the rudder, when going forward you are moveing the back to the left and right. Overturning like is happening here is because the rudder is full left/right with the keypress and hold, you have no rudder increments between 0 and max deflection. Just imagine pushing and turning a shopping cart in the supermarket and the analogy makes sense.

Yeah thats how I was told it. Pushing a shopping cart as opposed to pulling it from the front. With boats you stear with the back end. So if youre moving forward and you want to go right, you actually swing the back left. But thats why revers is so much more responsive. Because you arent pivoting the boat, youre just pulling in the direction you want to go

They rebalanced line fishing. It's still the best way to make cash early game. The fish farms are highly profitable but it's a lot of work to keep them fed.

Hope they polish this game up a bit. But both Barents Sea and North Atlantic were shiny turds at best at the start. After a few patches it got great, then DLCs like the scallops and literally back to game breaking bugs for a bit. Least they fix them quick and the games are amazingly fun.

The auto pilot may have been trying to get to the final flag, which was next to where you were.

Don't take the biggest boat down to the southernmost point on the map to load cargo, took me five times to try and park the damn thing without damaging it! 😂

can you set the autopilot and then rest while it's running? Also, the fish counts, the left number is how many fish, the right number is the weight of the fish in stone. the reason you have multiple spots of the same fish is because you have different sizes of the fish such as small, medium, and large fish.

Boats turn better with power applied in real life because the thrust shoots the water over the rudder an directs it. Otherwise you just have a rudder doing almost nothing example if the boat is stopped, an you turn the wheel left, its obviously gunna do nothing because your not moving through the water for the rudder todo anything Most games don't have this logic because their not ocean simulation games

Fishing will give you the most money be careful fish farming it is glitched and kind of difficult to do but once you master tht and sell ur fish u make millions i mean millions
