So the reason why you would throw more then one card out is firstly that once all your cards are gone, you cannot be called a liar since you aren't in the hand anymore, and secondly so that you can hide useless cards in a larger stack, and thirdly to try to squeeze other people into lying, or to statistically force them to call a lie when you have held one back or any other psychological tactics

as kids we would hide multiple cards together so even though we said 4x 5's, and that may have been true, but in-between those cards we would stuff as many cards as felt we could get away with

Half-lying in this game is kind of detrimental and pointless. Playing 2 kings as aces or a king and an ace is the exact same when called out, so it is better to do 2 kings so you can smuggle them through so you can later play the ace without risk of being called out in a late hand.

@@fleshhunter8703 Half-lying can be useful depending on who you play with in real life. A couple times I have noticed that someone only turned over the top card to check if it was a lie so I played a correct card on top with a wrong card on the bottom and they called me out but thought I was telling the truth since they only looked at the top card. Doesn't work very often though, and doesn't work in the video game version obviously.

Tbh, if you have 4 or 5 of the required card in hand in a 4 player game, its the best play to NOT call any lies. You can safely cycle 4 or 5 rounds by playing one at a time and youre totally safe. If anyone calls you a liar they whiff, and you can just let the other 3 fight amongst themselves.

Duncan: "Why would you put 3 in?!" 2 reasons: To get your opponents to call you and lose; To dump your hand faster and be immune. Here's an example: Game 1, you dump out 3 table cards on round 1, get called, and they lose. Game 2 you repeat that but lie this time, they might not call you again and you just dumped all your non-table cards. Then you can finish that game without calling and it's 0 risk. Also, if you think about the end game: What happens if you have 1 table card left in hand and your opponent plays their last card? If you'd want to not call them, then you lose because you're the only one with cards left. So the game forces a call in that situation. If you'd dumped your cards faster, you'd be the one playing your final hand of table cards and automatically win.

unfortunately, that wouldn't work. Example, someone bid 'five 5s'. You're option is to go higher in quantity (such as 'eight 5s') of that face value or higher value of the same quantity or more (such as 'six 3s'). Quantity can only go up, not down.
