A few years ago, after learning some of the things Jeffree Star said and did, as a Black woman, I threw all of his products away. But as I grew and learned more about various makeup companies such as Estée Lauder brands etc. I learned that racism and bias is just a nasty part of this industry. I love makeup still and will not stop buying products that work for me because unless I stay away from one of the things that makes me happiest in life (makeup) altogether, in some way I may be supporting an unethical CEO.

Jeffrey does not regret his past mistakes. His eyeshadows are dusty and crappy af. And giving terrible people a pass until they personally affect you with their behaviour is not great frankly.

We can all agree to disagree ☺️🫶🏼🤍 definitely not excusing some of the things he’s said or done. But I don’t like to hold grudges and I do believe in people changing. Because I’ve seen it in my own life. don’t know him personally but I know God forgives us MANY times that we mess up so it’s the way I like to view it 🤍
