The main problem is when bloodthirsty clips something next to the target and it misses. With this build there is no gap closing, just hit things next to you ;)

They can win if you time everything correctly, but yeah, that's not how counters work

Actually azaps can counter many units. But they have to have their full unit count and as super said, it's gotta be timed right. In practice they can almost beat all purple units and some gold. I've had some killer matches with them, but alot of average matches too. But if they get 25 to 35 kills, nothing wrong with that.
