Tbh, I'm kinda glad some of these cards weren't spoiled far in advance. Wow--some really cool cards. As a whole, I like that the player cards in Hemlock will offer plenty of new deck ideas without being overpowered (yes, I realize there are exceptions). Bless and Curse getting love is great. Cleaning kit has some pretty cool synergy with ornate bow as well and I haven't seen much discussion about it. It makes it so you can fire the bow off multiple times in a row to take down bigger enemies, which is one of the big weaknesses of the bow.

Yeah, that is a really nice synergy. I've been brewing up a deck idea where that is the plan and having a fun time with the idea.

For Sister Mary there is some nice new toys coming in this set. I have only played her one time at level zero for Dunwich's bar opening. Maybe some day I will get around to playing her in a full campaign with some these new cards!

Upgraded Rod of Carnagos seems great, just the fact that as a free action it can kill a cultist anywhere on the map by grabbing scarlet rot and can easily go up in value from there

Eyes of Valusa/Blade of Yoth seems fun. I'm not sure how good it is, but a snake necklace that transforms into a sword is dope.

I think the higher experience cost on Blessed Blade is balanced. Doesn’t remove blessed tokens, and option to add them. You will probably leave the chaos bag in equal or better state than start of your turn.

The artwork on Flurry of Blows is awesome. Too bad it can't combo with sledgehammer, but it can with cyclopean hammer and turn an enemy into paste.

Am I the only one who feels this expansion will be ground-breaking? Not in an overreaction way, like everything is very powerful, but in a card pool way. We got, parley archetype, rogue final touch on rogue hybrid, bless and cursed became complete, fighter survivor got a huge push, event mystic got a huge push. Also maybe seeds of a "succeed by set amount archetype" were planted? The past two expansions have been a hit and miss IMO, you got customizable and multi class. Those were the archetypes. Before that bless and curse, but I never felt like that was finished. So you have to go back to Dream eaters (if even that) for similar impact.

You're the first person I've seen/heard be positive about flurry of blows. General concensus online is that it's a poor value card that no-one wants to use, because you could just use 2 Galvanises instead for less than half the vp. I see what they're saying, though I guess FoB on just one card, not two, so it's a more efficient combo?

It should. Wording are a bit ambiguous; I would prefer (without paying any -> cost) or (with a discount of -> per fight action), but current wording look more like the first one.
