Mark’s Park is filmed in front of a live audience in PFC co-founder/producer Mark Johnson's backyard in Venice Beach, California. This series brings together the diverse group of people, who call Venice Beach home, in an effort to connect the world through music. A portion of the proceeds from Mark's Park will benefit the Playing For Change Foundation-an international nonprofit organization, operating 17 music programs in 13 countries, established to create positive change through music and arts education.

I love this music. The first time I listened to "Ka Ipo Lei Manu" was in the seventies when I finally managed to find a very rare record here in Italy by Gabby Pahinui & Ry Cooder. For me it was the first time I listened to real Hawaiian music. You are fantastic!!!

Ahhhh and in one of my favorite places on Earth, and I've traveled far and wide.... but Venice Beach has been my life long staple of where to go on a whim, for a breath - and easy too as a 6th generation native Californian. I'm traveling again now and being with you now, today, brings me home to So Cal in a quick minute! Thanks again. Some good memories there.

I don't understand the words but..... the explanation at the beginning of the song about the King dying and the song being written by his wife was great. Because you could tell the song spoke of love even if you didn't know the words. Beautiful.
