Dennis Smith Jr. is a 5-star point guard who is currently ranked 9th in the country overall and 1st in the country at point guard (class of 2016). He is from Fayetteville, North Carolina and he led Trinity Christian School to a state championship victory this sophomore season. Following school ball, Dennis made the decision to play for Andrew Wiggins’ Team Loaded NC squad. Their team traveled the nation for the adidas gauntlet and were quickly ranked in the top 5 in the nation. During the first live period at the Dallas session of the adidas gauntlet, Smith Jr. picked up a big offers from Kansas University and since he has blown up. Now people are referring to him as the best point guard in the nation, regardless of class. He has picked up several high-major offers and has been selected to compete in several of the nations top events such as the Under Armour Elite 24. I've watched a lot of Dennis. The main thing he really needs to work on is his jumper. He has no discipline with his form, and as such his shot is wildly inconsistent. Needs to go back to the drawing board, because if he adds a solid jump shot to his ability to get to the hole and distribute, it'll seal the deal for him as a future NBA baller. He has that kind of talent and it seems he has the mindset. I wish him the best. NC, baby!
