This movie was made 10 years before the Official Playmobil movie came out. I watched it recently and I will say it does feel better than the real movie. The 2009 one told a better story and had more nastolgic vibes and music. The 2019 one had better animation, and better appearance for the better technology used. I think both of these movies are good in there own way, and I think this movie was pretty lighthearted for 2009 XD.
