Because every card in this deck is better than that card, and the synergy is minimal. Often you’d only be getting like -2/-2 with a sheoldred or toshiro umizawa on the field. Which is usually worse than just cut down, slower, and sorcery speed.

It's crazy how strong mono black strategies can be right now. It's like, here is a pile of cards good black cards, now let the opponent try to figure out which particular set of soul crushing cards you are playing. As long as your mana curve is reasonable you often just run away with games so quickly that even when the opponent gets to do their deck's thing, they're already in too much trouble to win.

Tried this deck for a while. I found once you oponnent had any bigger creatures out you have not enough options for removal, and you werent fast enough in reducing enemy life total to end it.

Been playing Esper Control using Gadwick's First Rule. Just toss it at 2 for the scry and delayed copy. You can really hear their soul getting crushed when you just copy an Union of the Third Path to go up to 35 and draw 2.

Seems like i get matched against nothing but enchantments. I'm pretty bad though still in Gold for this month. But I've seen 1 mono-red and about 6-7 enchantment decks in last 10 matchups.

Faeries looking weak tbh. Havent seen a good build yet. I dont think talion is a good card for the deck as you need to tap out at a critical point in the game where powerful 4 and 5 drops come down or wipe the board and you lose tempo. you probably would have won the last game if not for the removal chosen to fit the lifegain gimmick. GGs

Please eliminate Alchemy. Is very annoying to have to deal with those Alchemy cards mixed in with the real ones or events trying to deceive by making it seem like you're in a different format and is Alchemy. We're tired!

This set is so bad, CGB. Its not even worth the effort of making standard videos because there aren’t any exciting cards. I advocate for some Commander, Pioneer, and Historic No Ban games with the full set.

Well, it was decent as part of his life gain gimmick but it definitely wasn't that good. It would be really good if it was an instant but as a sorcery it's very middle of the road. Has to fit the decks theme.
