Here I go…Remember I told you guys Rondo wasn’t a good fit? He’s a well-known drama queen that hasn’t developed on offense the 9 years he’s been in the league. He’s also a ball dominant player and you can’t do that with this Mavs team. Chucks right, effort & attitude are different than performance, he didn’t just have a “Bad game” (Performance); a leader doesn’t put his own emotions before the team, especially in the playoffs. Hopefully he bounces back next game but can some see why I said back then that Jae Crowder, Brandon Wright and Nelson were too much to give up for Rondo? Those players are great for the playoffs, and Rondo is probably going to leave after the season ends anyway. The trade was probably one in which Carlisle (aka Jim Carrey) had no say or didn’t want him and Cuban did it anyway now it has backfired. Rondo has only played in Boston so some think his numbers mean everything, but they don’t. No one else has had problems with Carlisle (Who is a proven coach that helped the Mavs win their only championship in franchise history) Even future HOF Jason Kidd who has way more credibility than Rondo didn’t. It’s Rondo, dude is a big baby and selfish at times, like I said he is good and if he gets it together the Mavs still have a chance (A missing Parsons would help also) but I highly doubt it, judging by how he walked out the locker room and the recent reports of him saying he wants the Mavs organization to choose him or Carlisle, smh. And Kenny, the Rockets were a playoff team before they had Josh Smith, Josh Smith is in part the reason Detroit is sitting home right now. As far as Shaq goes, his argument made no sense at all. EJ said it, -36 when Rondo is on the floor… Am I overreacting or does this sound right?

Run Through The Tape Rondo is not a good fit for Dallas. He is a free style PG who doesn't need a play to be called for him 90% of the time on the court. He reads the defense and reacts. Dallas coach is micromanaging Rondo to much and that's why Rondo doesn't fell like playing...The only thing i hate about him is that in 9 years he didn't develop a consistent jumpshot. Rondo needs a specific team to play in to be effective. Sad but true....Dallas is not that team.

Shaqs comments about Rondo shows his vision and work ethic perfectly. Rondo seems to be not happy with his teammates and/or his coach, so he just quits his team and stops working so to speak. How the hell can u defend this behaviour? No "normal" worker in the office f.e. can just stop doing his work for his company when he got a disagreement with his boss. Thats pathetic, not even mentioning that he is letting his TEAM DOWN. He should have enough pride to fight for his mates and his club, because he GETS PAID TO DO HIS JOB. Shaq just confirmed what im thinking about him for a long time. Ruben Perez When you deliberately slack off - which is what Rondo's doing - cause you're not getting your way on a contract year? On a good team, with a championship winning head coach? During the playoffs? That's called sky-rocketing your own stock as a player down to the poor house. If he does it in game 3, he's not getting even half of what he's going to want this offseason. So, yeah, if you think that's a smart call then yeah okay Shaq's right and so is Rondo. That problem with Shaq's take is that he didn't want to give Rondo any blame, and a player-coach relationship is a two party system. If Rondo's not willing to even meet Carlisle halfway, that's all on Rondo, a coach can only do so much. The Josh Smith comparison that Kenny brought up doesn't even work. Kevin McHale and the Rockets are getting productivity out of Josh for two reasons. One, this was his LAST chance. Everyone had given up on him, including everyone in the media, his teammates, hell his own coach and it's entire front office at Detroit. Even his father said he told him, "no more excuses, son" And was there to see him play his first few games in Houston. Two, he landed on the team with a coach and system that would encourage him to do the one thing NOBODY ELSE wanted him to do and that was shoot threes. His teammates WANT him to shoot the open three. The team's superstar leader Harden looks for him when he passes it out. That's confidence not just being bestowed upon him through the coach, but the head office AND his team all backing him up before doing squat for Houston. Look at his percentages after coming to Houston. You'll notice they all went UP, and they went up and stayed up with him continuing to shoot threes like he always did in Detroit. So, either it's all on the Mavericks' players and entire coaching staff (not just Carlisle) not believing in him or, it's on Rondo. Which is likely the more responsible party? Rondo didn't seem to mind being taken out, he was smiling on the bench, looking as carefree as can be towards the end of the 4th.

The problem I have is saying who's right because both Carlisle and rondo have done great things especially in the playoffs but I remember the rondo that took control of that celtics team and took the heat to 7 games when they were just a five seed if I remember correctly.I would roll with him if they want any chance in beating Houston, you ain't beating them with JJ but it doesn't matter now Rondos out for the rest of playoffs.

His back didn't seem all that troubling when he was elbowing and shoving James around in front of the ref during game 2 - pretty much like he was trying to get called for a foul. This, plus the fact that he was smiling from the sidelines towards the end of the fourth quarter makes me think he checked out by the first quarter of game 2. It's pure speculation at the moment, but the timing seems off... Makes me think Carlisle and Rondo talked, and the end result of that talk was so miserably poor, especialy from Rondo's end that Rick said, "fine, then you're done playing for this team."
