I don't know what it is but for some reason when johnny wins, it feels way more satisfying than when other youtubers win cups. Maybe it's the constant failures and you don't actually know if he is ever going to win a stanley cup. Anyway congrats Johnny, next stop a dynasty.

I think a big part of it is the constant failures. But other parts include keeping track of storylines, the nicknames, EA Voodoo, Johnny still not knowing if goals in real time sim are SH or PP even though it says it, and one of the most important imo, not completely cheesing the game.

It's because we relate to him. He's one of us. He swears, he fails, he calls EA out on their bullshit. A lot of the other KZbinrs are too focused on getting invited to EA reveals and they come off as disingenuous. Johnny comes off as real.

Biggest thing is no cheese, doesnt do fake bull trades and cheat the faults in the system he treats it like it's a real game with real people so it's like I'm watching hockey not a video game

yeah Conn smith is glitched, in my GM mode it was Lundestrom(3rd line C on my team) who kept winning it every time i won stanley cup even thought i had players with 35+ points in playoffs.

no, Daniel Sprong had 9 goals in the playoffs. The game showed the league leaders at 1:29:54 and Sprong had 8 goals before his empty netter

Always been wanting to give Henrik Lundqvist a cup yet couldn't be decent enough to put Hank as a backup or to play the last 5 min of the game either way so he could've been on the ice celebrating with the Stanley Cup win with the boys. HE SHOULD'VE BEEN ON THE ICE OR AT LEAST ON THE BENCH JOHNNY! He deserved to have his moment witnessed on this channel.

Might not even be on the cup since you have to be on the active roster for 41 regular season games or at least one finals game. Scratched doesn't count (doubt the petition would work in this scenario). So unless he had him as the backup in a finals game that I didn't notice he made Hank watch from the press box as the team wins a cup and celebrates and then he doesn't even get his name on it.

What a finish. Almost thought Tampa was going to spoil the party like usual. But a cup in five years when the sim engine can be...frustrating at times...is a pretty huge accomplishment. I normally do not win a Cup no matter what team I've had in NHL 20 until around Year Seven or Eight. I look forward to the NHL 21 content in the next few weeks or so as this series comes to an end soon.
