little missplay. unless I am mistaken the wording on Destined by fate is "when a saving throw is failed", so Magnus couldn't negate a devastating wound with it

Just a heads up from a fellow Thousand Sons player, with a common frustration - none of the Mutalith Vortex Beast's weapon profiles count as psychic (sadly and weirdly) so it can't get any bonuses from Magnus nor Wrath of the Immaterium : (

Mubin was behind the eight ball from the first round. Its hard enough to come back from a 20 point deficit, but Michael extended his lead to 30 points by the end of the game. The dice betrayed Mubin early on, but they came back to him later, though that stilk couldn't save hin from a number of tactical mistakes.

Michael is high-key terrifying, not just cuz of the great rolls from the Shards and Monolith, but he really consistently makes the best tactical decisions that he NEEDS in order to turn a game or just flat out lead to victory. But BOY did Mubin get Magnus to put in work and make hot rolls with good opening moves. Great match!

I love the sportscaster vibes, but might I suggest leaning into more. Like when figures die you could label what they are or how much damage a model has taken or has left, like health bars or something? It would add to the atmosphere and keep everyone fixed on every concurrent event.

Sadly the strat to turn damage to 0 can only be used on failed save throw, and you don't roll for devastating wounds, ergo you don't fail it. Nightbringer should've killed Magnus without Problem.

i´m a Necron player myself and the best advice i can give is : Focus down 1 Unit at a time like all 10 Immortals down to 0 so then they can´t reanimate and second advice is (depends on if he Plays Hypercrypt) try to avoid the C´tan, they are slow and kinda short ranged with max 18'. So good luck on you next Battle, hope i could help.
