5:28 i know this sounds so cheesy but i just love this specific moment of the whole short. the soft strings in the background playing the sombra/(talon?) motif, which ends with a major harmony, prompting a more resolved and uplifting feeling, all the while widowmaker sees reaper walking out, the both of them disappointed that the mission was a failure. but, little do they know, they were deceived by the one that they had trusted to carry through with the mission. again, sounds so cheesy and nerdy but that one moment has so much detail.

No, Reaper actually knows Sombra intentionally let her escape. This is revealed in the comics I believe (and you can kind of see it here, with Widow being skeptical and Reaper being annoyed more so than you would expect a simple mission failure).

The 'boop' is actually a threat to her daughter. In the scene where she takes the pictures you can see the Russian lady reading a book to her daugther and booping her on the nose. The implication is that Sombra knows everything, even what she does in her private time. That's why we didnt get anything in game regarding this action like an emote or a voice line, we didnt even get a spray. That's because it isnt a 'thing' that Sombra does. This blew my mind when I first heard it.

Ben Moak yeah I see a lot of people saying that blizzard is making Reaper and Wodowmaker halfassed villains when in reality: they tried to hack winstons computer to find the locations of Overwatch and they "failed" but at the same time made winston call all of them back( revealed themselves) and Wodowmaker also killed mondatta in the other animated short. Great villains who achieve their mission but also fail sometimes!
