Yep. The ACs in-game operate more like the ACs in this opening that the actual gameplay of 2 itself. I think the opening of 3 is the closest you'll get to in-game AC6 gameplay.

AC6 looks retarded like Gundams. What makes AC unique is its autistic focus on realism. The enemies in AC look somewhat believable. In AC6 they are ridiculous. Monster helicopters that can change direction on a dime as if they are weightless, bosses with giant electric whips. Just absurd. AC died with LR. Let's all calm down and F.

There is something majestic about the music and scenery from 0:09-0:30. I used to be mesmerized by this intro as a little kid, I was no older than 9 or 10 years old when I beat this game on the PS2. It literally made the hair on my arm raise to hear that after almost 20 years! I haven't touched the Armored Core series since beating Armored core 3 as a young kid, but I have a feeling AC6 is going to be magical.

I played this game when I was like 9 or 10 maybe even 8 on a PS2 and I probably knew how to read of time but I never bothered to read the case I always knew what the game looks like in would pop it into the console and always had a blast and then years later it just disappeared after time and I always wondered what the game was. When you beat the story and arena the weight restrictions are removed (though it will affect your speed). As far as unlimited emergy, that's limiter release activated.
