PlayStations work surprisingly well with salt water compared to other things, they manage to boot up and glitch out as opposed to just instant burnup But then again I myself have a PS2 slim and that bastard's survived over fifteen years of my bullshit gameplay and overuse of Action Replay cheats lol

There's a reason why no one wants those Slim PS2's, the Slim model was when Sony started to cheap out on the PS2's DVD lasers so they fail a lot.. Also, the 75xxx line was when the PS2 started to have some compatibility issues on some games (because they changed the IOP, which also made it impossible to solder a IDE port on those and play games from the HDD, also turning hardware backwards compatibility into software backwards compatibility)

Technically, the PS2 Slim does support hard drives, provided you solder the wiring to very specific locations.

@@smashthings1 Before they changed the MIPS-based IOP for a PowerPC-based IOP starting with the 75xxx line, the IDE mod is only possible if you have one of the 70xxx models (because only the old IOP has the support for internal HDDs) Also, with that IOP change, they broke compatibility with some games, because some PS2 games relied on the MIPS-based IOP too.
