I'm gonna be honest, this music was one of my fondest memories of the PS4. I am primarily a PC person (doing custom builds since 2009), but there was a period of time that I was playing mostly on consoles (about 2014 through 2017), and I bought my PS4 in 2015. I remember hearing this and just feeling totally relaxed and sometimes keeping my PS4 on just for the music to play. I honestly didn't play that many games on my PS4, especially sicne I built a new PC in 2017 and played exclusively on that platform ever since, but i have a few fond memories of the PS4. The music, staying up late to play Fallout 4 and Metro Last Light Redux (both of which I now own on the PC), and finding a stream of a late night sketch show called the Fo' Sho' Show (man, i wonder if those guys still stream, I gotta check them out again).

You wake up to this at 9:00 o'clock. Yesterday you played with your buddies, got a couple dubs on fortnite, played some call of duty, then one of your friends says: I'm tired I might get off. So you and your 2 other friends are just playing some minecraft, found some diamonds, got a full set of diamond armour. And then one of your friends gets off without saying anything. So you and your friend are bored. He says: what do you wanna play now? You say: I don't know, some more black ops 4? Then you finish a couple matches and then your friend says: I'm gonna get off, see ya tomorrow. So your alone in the party. You realize black ops 4 has an update and you go to the home screen and watch youtube on your iPhone listening to this beautiful noise and you fall asleep because of how relaxing it is. Then you realize your friend that you were last with doesn't get on the next day. You just play with the rest of your friends. And then 4 months go by and your buddy hasn't been on since the time the update bo4 had happened. And you think: what happened? So you are sad and confused. You just play with your friends and one of them gets mad at you for stealing their diamonds. Then you realize all of them have blocked you. You just listen to this tune. Forget that happened and just relax. You end up finding new people who are even nicer and you have been friends with them since.

These types of nostalgic tracks remind me of the hardest thing about becoming an adult and that is the realization just how alone you are in this world. Worst part of it is that it doesn't have to be that way. Everyone (including family) moves away from each other like trying to avoid the plague. Family gatherings/weekend barbeques stop happening. I used to play on ps4 and I liked it. I’ve always been a Nintendo guy. But I don’t necessarily miss the games but... I do miss the home screen music. I met a lot of great people on the system, and I have a lot of great memories. I’ll probably play Nintendo consoles for awhile (mainly because ive been playing with Nintendo consoles since 2010) but I sometimes miss the ps4, and it’s music.
