The only thing I can really gripe about is the price. It costs more than the regular controller. But just a company going this far with developing something like this is incredible so I am just happy it exists. Everything with the Sony name on it costs a little more than other products. It is really cool.

I totally understand that the price can be out of the range for many people who actually need this, but because it is for a niche market, production is low, so the profit margin is also quite low. This has to be profitable for them to keep supporting it.

When I first saw it I thought it is probably going to be 100-150€ minimum. I think just 20€ more than the standard PS5 controller is extremly cheap. I mean the other „non-standard“ PS5 controller is literally 250€

Unsure if it’s a stupid question, but does this controller work in other devices other than PS (e.g. iOS, Switch, Steam Deck). Would love to use it as alternative for my other devices, but finding it hard to look for details.

I have the same kind of hands that you do (just mirrored), and this seems like a controller I would try...however, apparently Sony hasn't really gotten around to figuring out the second joystick into the controller, so...they left it out completely, effectively losing about 25% of the entire controller? Sure, you can add another controller, but that's just a workaround, and now you just have big buttons you won't likely reach without letting go of the joystick, while your other hand is holding another controller. What I'm trying to say is, that this works on some games (like platformers, driving games, etc), but seems to be limited to those, for now. But I hope they keep working on this, and won't just settle. I'd also love a possibility to use it on PC, where it would actually be usefull for me, ie. movement and button or two on lefty-stump, and mouse/aiming (with plethora of buttons) on the right hand.

Azeron has a one hand does everything style mouse-controller (Azeron Cyro). I think you could get full use out of these sony controllers if you use one of them with your feet (assuming you have use of them), that's what i'd do if I tried them, they seem big enough for it. (though i'd like to see some more purpose built stuff for use with feet too)

Hopefully Sony realizes how big the market is for adaptive controllers and will not only continue to make these, but also figure out ways to get the entire package to a more reasonable price ... for example, if you wanted to add another controller (say, a foot-operated controller kind of like a DDR pad that you could use like the second stick on a standard controller) then that's going to make this even more expensive. As more and more of the gaming community ends up needing different control schemes - we're all getting older! - it would be great to have at least one company provide an all-inclusive setup that isn't the same price as the console itself. Having said that - this is fantastic, and I'm glad it's making a difference for you already!

Such a full controller kit would cost thousands to manufacture on a global scale thus making it pricier overall Easier to sell an accesible controller at a reasonable price then have other companies provide support towards it

If you find that the buttons are too close to the joystick Logitech do a set of buttons that work with the Acess Controller 😊

It works with 90 dollars, as in, you buy another one. I kid you not. Or you use the normal controller instead, that seems to be Sony's backup plan for the users.

This controller is absolute garbage!!! I bought all the Bite Switches available in Europe that work with a 3.5mm jack, spent a total of 180€ for the two Access Controllers plus nearly 200€ for the Bite Switches, and none of them are recognized by the Access Controller! Sony support is almost nonexistent, and there's no information on the internet or Sony's official pages. Logitech's accessory buttons are still not available over a month after the Access Controller's release, and no one seems to care! Apparently, there's no community in this area. My PS5, including all this "accessible" accessories, cost me well over 1000 euros, and I haven't been able to play a single game because there's no functional external input accessory! The Bite Switch I have is from Airturn and is officially suitable and compatible with the Microsoft Adaptive Controller according to the description and packaging, but it's not recognized by the Sony Access Controller, just like all the other switches and buttons I've tested. I can rule out a defect since I use a setup with two Access Controllers, and neither of them works! Why is there no information about this problem?! I believe I'm almost the only one trying to use this controller for its intended purpose. With the Microsoft Adaptive Controller, there are numerous official how-tos and DIY guides for building accessories and input devices, along with a helpful community. Sony couldn't care less. I'm so desperate and would love to throw all this junk against the wall... Why are there no test videos about this? Can you help with your reach? Desperate regards, Florian
