@@LALOKILLER17 It wasn't necessarily Activision's fault. Superbot asked for Crash and Spyro, and Activision was fine with it as long as a certain amount was paid. Sony was the one who fucked up. They could have easily paid for Crash and Spyro yet didn't give enough of a crap to do so.

I love how unique they went with a lot of these supers.. Yes plenty of the level 1 and 2s were half assed, but 3s were mostly awesome

the game was too focused on getting Lv3s, that it got boring fast. The % or stock counters work best, ultimates should have been optional and not the standard way to knock out.

Some of these look really unfair compared to the rest. Like a couple of them let you kill the play 3 times, but some others only allow you to do it once. So why would you even play as those characters?

Exactly! One of my biggest gripes with the game, the supers a pretty unbalanced. For example Parappa's Level 1, 2, AND 3 can only kill another player once per super. Kratos' Level 3 can kill a single player 3 times plus it's easy to fill. Seems pretty unfair in my opinion.

Well the thing is characters like PaRappa have supers that are low costing and his level 3 is a guarantee, unblockable kill. Characters like Kratos have high costing supers and his level 3 gets you at least 6 kills if your opponent isn't at least a good dodger. plus, DahSons here is playing on a mode where you have no invincibility frames wen you respawn. But still Kratos and other characters are pretty OP.

Yknow For a game that tried competing with Smash, you can actually see the effort that got put into this. The references, the animation quality, the gameplau, it's all there. If a sequel were ever to happen, they could improve on what didn't work and keep with the formula they set up. Make it so supers aren't the only kill moves in the game, or if they are, make the gauges fill up in a different manner.

The point of making a Smash game is to have characters people can at least recognize or have a kind of nostalgic connection with. I don't get that for half of these brown-hair-blue-eye-genero-heroes. But those that I do recognize seem kind of... demoted.

If this game does get another entry, I’d love to see more true combos into supers, because with the release of SF6 showed me how you could synergise each level into specific combos and character specifics,(like launchers into level 1 despite being very weird strings, ala parappa up throw and Sir daniel’s stunning arrows) and having the ability to choose between what levels you use, like 1 with sides, 2 as down, and 3 as up, with the neutral input using the bar you built, with hopefully faster and more interesting move sets to tie the synergy and system mechanics all together in a neat bow for several unique play styles and not just hope to hit a player who is likely to dodge the telegraphed super, because some characters just have to really commit if they lack a route that makes it easier to connect. All in all, I just think this series could be better if it had more depth in its characters, without mentioning the several other picks that were unfortunately left out.
