Something is really weird with audio on this video, i can only here the AI voice whenni have my bluetooth headset on, yesterday it would play threw the phone audio but only in full screen I = CoNfUsiON

My left ear really loved this video! As for why some early PS1 games used △ for back, there were _some_ early SNES games that used B for accept and X for cancel; the original Super Mario Cart was one such game. Maybe western developers were thinking of that? Of course, there were also a few PS1 games that used 🔳 of all buttons as cancel. The only game I can think of that did off the top of my head was the port of Road & Track Presents: The Need For Speed. Why did they pick 🔳, I'll never know.

Great idea for a video! I wish you’d mention the Final Fantasy PS1 trilogy because in the west every game had a different yes/no layout. By default in 7 circle was yes and X was no. Then in 8 it was X for yes and Triangle for no. And lastly in 9 it was X for yes and circle for no. They couldn’t make up their minds in the same series during the same generation. Also some very japanese games (not just western) like Dragon Quest VIII as late as 2005 were still using X for yes and Triangle for no. It was just the Wild West wasn’t it?

You should have mentioned that B on Genesis was No and that both A and C were used as Yes That is very important because it was when Sega decided to remove the C and Z buttons on the Dreamcast that they cemented the Xbox layout

i think for xbox a is ok and b is back but for playstation circle should be ok and cross should be back instead just the way it should be since playstation is japanese circle is appropriate for positive and cross is appropriate for negative while xbox is american accept start with alphabet a and back start with alphabet b.
