These are the sounds that play during the PlayStation startup sequence, ripped from the SCPH-1001 bios using PSound. Since the PlayStation's BIOS was only 512 KB, instead of fitting dozens of differently-pitched sounds in the BIOS, which would be impossible, these three sounds are triggered at different points and played at different pitches during the bootup process.
This explains how errors like Personified Fear happen: when an unrecognizable disc is inserted into a modded unit, the console is tricked into loading the disc. This would normally cause a Fearful Harmony, but on rare occasions, the console will halt the bootup process at the last second to avoid loading the disc. This causes the console to miss a sound trigger, which results in the infamous Personified Fear.
Similarly, Fearful Harmony also happens when an unrecognizable disc is inserted into a modded unit. This time, the console attempts to boot it, and makes it to the licensing screen. However, in most instances, the files needed to display the licensing screen correctly are missing, causing scrambled, misplaced graphics to be spat out on the screen. As the console searches for the data to load the game, it lags heavily, which causes the sound triggers to become spaced out. The console will then slowly pass through one sound trigger at a time, causing Fearful Harmony to play.
