I’ll tell u a secret, when things are very different, it’s where you compare them.. If they were the same.. well. With that being said the Portal is using the PS5 as we all know, but it’s important to point out the good things it does, I have both, and in the video the dude gave most of the points to the switch regardless of it being a weaker hardware compared to the ps5 (but a native one of course) since the portal is only a remote player for ps5, but he mentioned all that…. so the video was cool, No need to hate

PS Portal is not a console att all. It is just a screen and joystick to play your PS5 games. Nintendo Switch is a totally unique console with it's own games. To different things.

I was in between upgrading my switch to oled or getting the portal. I got the portal, comes in 2 days. Excited, its a new way to experience my ps5 and play games ive been wanting to play handheld that are playstation exclusive. The switch can already be played handheld or docked so i wanted to give my 5 that option as well.

@@Izzyoroz713 The Portal is awesome I have had no issues at all. The picture qualitiy is crisp and the handheld design is super comfortable. All my games local and online run smooth. I play it daily. Very happy with the results highly recommend.

The switch is an actual console for pretty much the same price, u can actually play it on the go… I feel second hand embarrassment for Sony and anyone dumb enough to buy their so called “on the go” single use stream screen, pathetic. Also, like I mentioned, the switch is an ACTUAL CONSOLE, so I’m confused what u r comparing here…u can’t compare these, bc u have to actually HAVE a PS5 already, which we know is far superior to the switch, but overall, this device itself is garbage and useless if u were to compare it to the switch. Just bc it’s capable of doing something, doesn’t mean it’s going to live up to that, the display is always grainy bc it’s not running games, it’s streaming them over wifi. This video has no purpose bc ur not comparing like devices, they serve 2 completely different functions, ur comparing apples to toenails here. I’m not hating ur video just confused as to what it’s purpose is.

Not a fair comparison at all, switch is meant to be a portable, all in one console, while the portal is a streaming device used to play games on the go with an internet connection, and most importantly a ps5. But all in all, ps5 easily wins IMO

Note, If you own a ps5, and want a portable console, for sure get the portal over the switch, graphic, visuals everything is better. If you care about switch exclusives such as animal crossing get the switch. It all depends on what you want

And he's just giving reasoning for the options. I would pick the switch because you get a whole separate library, but if their 1st person isn't intriguing then the Portal would make sense.

It is valid, bc u can’t buy the device by itself, you have to already have owned a PS5. So it’s either buy a completely new console that works on the go, or play something you already have access to just smaller and under worse conditions, plus it barely even works “on the go”

@@danielturchan4092 I agree. But my situation may be a bit different. I have both the OLED Switch and PS5 and a handheld for PS5, but not the Portal. I have the G Cloud. Hypothetically speaking, if I have only a PS5 only, I would choose the Switch for additional library of games. But I can see people going for Portal because multiplatform games aren't dumb down as bad as the Switch's. For me, I am totally on the G Cloud because I can be in my bedroom with Steam and PS5. I barely touch the Switch now. If you have XBox you can stream it conveniently of the G Cloud as well. Not to mention all the emulation it can do. But the Portal is one dimensional. I personally wouldn't get it. In this sense, the video makes sense to me. I only buy 1st party games on the Switch, but multiplatform games I'll buy on Steam and PS5 and use it on my G Cloud. Runs way better and looks better than on the Switch. If you get all that I am saying.

Mis information ps portal also works with ps4 games on ps5 😅 About the joycons people hate them ! I like them only for zelda games, and smash, but many use the pro controller, third party, etc because of drift and bad precision specially on Nintendo online emulators hehe
