Still I think will love This.. I cannot afford a steam deck.. or rog Ally.. I would love to have both of those systems.. it's just not in the cards.. an the PS 5 pro is right around the corner. Then I may have to get another one of these for my girlfriend..

If you're enjoying it, you're enjoying it. Personally, I think it has one of the worst form factors for a handheld and a streaming only device makes it even less desirable, especially since it is not usable without a PS5 or remote play. It has worst specs than my tablet and ipad. I was honestly hoping for a smaller device without requiring a PS5.

Trust me bro I thought the EXACT same things… I totally did. That’s why I laughed at it and didn’t bother with it at launch… till circumstances pushed me over the edge and decided to give it a go. I really didn’t get it till I got it, held it, and used it. It’s 1 of those things that really won’t hit u till you try it for yourself. Yea it’s not a stand alone handheld console… it was never meant to be nor was it marketed as such… but as a remote player, it is by far the best way to experience it. A phone with a backbone, controller with tablet or even using the dualsense edge with your pc or Mac just won’t give u anywhere near the same experience. Even the ergonomics are great since you’re really just holding the dualsense.

Yea they knew what they were doing. A quick cash grab. The steam deck and the rog ally can do what the PS portal can do plus a billion times more. Anyone who bought the portal is part of the problem. And Sony will never stop as long as the ponys stop giving in to the greed. Take my word for it get return it or smash it and get a rog ally or a steam deck. Then your money will be well spent. Trust me

My friend to be honest I was in the same boat just like I said in the video… I thought it was a cash grab and a complete waste of money. But circumstances pushed me over the edge…. And I can confirm without a shadow of a doubt that the Portal is hands down the best and most optimal way to enjoy your PS5 games on the go or rather “The Best Way to Remotely Play”. I’ve tried it all before… I’ve tried remote play to my laptop, my phone, heck even my iPad… none of them come close to giving the same experience… I don’t even know what Sony did, but it’s way more responsive and has almost 0 ZERO stutters, buffering or dropped frames in comparison to those options from my experience. My theory is that since the Portal is solely focused on Remote Play only there’s less interference or something. It’s also so easy to jump in and out of games with almost no setup compared to those other options. But it is by far the best way to Remote Play. By far. The dualsense feedback and controls are icing on the cake. Quite frankly, if it was sold for $300 I can’t argue it wouldn’t be worth it either. IT’S JUST THAT GOOD! The ROG Ally or Steam deck will more than likely give a similar experience as those other options with the clunky dropped frames, limited feedback, etc… simply because it wasn’t natively designed for that and there will be interference just like the other devices. Not to mention those devices cost 2-3x more than the portal… plus they have way worse battery life and don’t have the ergonomics of the dualsense controller. My best advice is to test 1 out for yourself bro. I didn’t get it till I actually got it 😂.

@@Makneee get a rog ally x or a steam deck or legion go. You can do what the portal can do plus soooooo much more and if you get the Rog Ally z1 extreme you get 3 months of gamepass and can stream games from game pass aswell as locally play gamepass and PlayStation plus. Trust me you will get your money's worth with an Ally. You can get open box at best buy for 400 bucks or less. Or you can get after pay that's what my wife did and we paid 150 bucks every 2 weeks until paid off.

@@KamaniBrown 👌🏼I understand but I have not experienced any issues remote playing my PS5 on my rog ally I don't get stutters except when I first start up remote play but you can play almost all the PS5 games on the ally without the PS5.

​​⁠ nice! Once you have good internet where you’re going, this is a no brainer… and funny enough, just as I released this video, an update was actually released allowing you to play pretty much on any public WiFi as well.
