Firewalk had eight years to flex their muscles, and they totally failed; reportedly the culture there was full of "toxic positivity" that prevented them from getting any real feedback before the beta test happened. Another studio could still take over, so anything is possible.
@johnpenguinthe3rd1323 күн бұрын
It's 100% NEVER coming back as a game. In the same corporate memo where they announced they were firing the entire studio, they mention that they are PERMANENTLY "sun setting" the game. It's NEVER coming back as a game. Concord will return in a different form this December, but as an animated episode of Amazon's Secret Level animated anthology series (and the reason is they made that episode BEFORE the game was shutdown. The animation studio for that anthology animated series already spent the money on that episode and completed it before the game launched, so they are going to release it when the entire anthology series starts up December). After that, unless Sony decides to release the unreleased cutscenes from the game (apparently they had TONS of them already animated for the game that never saw the light of day since they were being saved for later seasons of the game... which never happened) and they release the cutscenes as a collection of animated shorts, then Amazon's Secret Level animated episode is the last hurrah for Concord. After that's it's most likely never coming back in any form (honestly, there is a 95% chance those cutscenes from the game that were never released will stay in a "digital vault" at Sony headquarters since I'm hearing Sony wants to use the game as a tax write off. Once they do that, they aren't legally allowed to use anything from the game).
