Got a PlayStation TV for $20.00. Worth it if you can soft mod it. I have been thinking about hooking it up to my PC, and streaming games off of it. Along side my Steam Library. Awesome video, Jared! Have fun with it! ;)

I don't know why your allowed to download and install Netflix, KZbin, and HuluPlus but aren't allowed to use them.

Because sometimes Sony is a lost cause. Seriously it's completely ridiculous. Thankfully I have little to no need of those apps, but calling the system PS TV and then not allowing core TV functions is really odd.

The problem I have with the PS TV and Vita is that the memory cards are sold separately. Not to mention that the memory cards are proprietary and it costs $80 for a 32GB card.

You won't get an argument from me. The biggest pro I have is that I can now review Vita games with direct footage, alas not all Vita games are supported though damn it!

@@MKCamo520 The Vita’s PlayStation Store is still working, and that also means that the PlayStation TV will still work. Plus, the PlayStation Network still works on the Vita as well, so the PlayStation TV still does work for PSN. Basically; it’s still working!

I still have my Six Axis controller that came with my PS3 Fat 60 GB Console. It says Six Axis on it but it does not say Dual Shock 3 on it. Do you think this controller will be compatible with the PlayStation TV?

this may sound stupid but does this playstation tv only work with the ps vita and your ps3/ps4? without the playstation vita is this useless?

+Jack Lynch It plays PS Vita game cards, and digital downloads (but only select titles), and then it can wirelessly connect to your PS3 and PS4. You can also download PSP and PS1 classic games.

Thought about buying a ps tv but the problem is it's compatibility isn't 100%.Unless in the future,vita games that don't work get a patch.Then again i all ways thought the vita should have had av out to begin with.

Agreed. The biggest problem for me is that it isn't compatible with all the games, and most publishers don't feel the need to release patches for their games which is incredibly annoying. How Uncharted isn't compatible is silly.

You can use existing controller but they can only be synced to one console at a time.

so you can't use component cables I wanted to get one for my 5 year old son and he has the tv with the red white and yellow inputs

Just get a HDMI to component cable and that should work

My ps4 Controller doesn't connect with the PS tv even if i connect both of them with an usb-cable. IT blinks and stuff but it doesn't let me control it.

Another video on KZbin shows that two controllers can be connected to the PlayStation TV, at the same time for Remote Play through the PlayStation TV. One PS3 controller and one PS4 controller. Any idea if that would allow two people to play in Versus Mode on those Fighting Games we love so much? For Example: I invite a friend over. Can we play in Versus Mode on Street Fighter V (or any other PS3/PS4 Fighting Game) if two controllers are connected to a PlayStation TV for Remote Play?

+GAMINGMATRIXXX Yes, up to four players can play together. Here's how you do it. 1. While other players are using remote play, press the PS button on the controller of the player who will join the game. The screen for selecting a user on the PS4™ system is displayed. 2. Select a user on the PS4™ system, or select [New User]. Follow the screens.

+Project COE. So if I understand correctly, it is officially discontinued from production but for those of us that have it (or buy it used), it will continue to work for PS3/PS4 Remote Play and playing physical PS Vita game cartridges?

It's no longer in production and Sony says they will continue to keep it compatible so long as the Vita itself is still being supported, which means we have about this year left for official support. The Vita has already been discontinued in certain countries and it's only a matter of time before that happens here too. That being said, unless Sony updates a firmware on the PS4 to remove remote play, it should work for years to come.

Probably. There is a bluetooth devices option in settings which allows you to connect Bluetooth devices

This device is essentially a PlayStation Vita that you connect to your TV, so no, you don't need a Vita to use this device.

+ASAP Basin you can buy vita games but the cover of the game will say playstation tv compatible in the top left or right corner
