You can just install CFW on the Vita and buy an SD2Vita adapter, it takes up the cartridge slot on the Vita, but you can use it as main storage and it theoretically supports up to 4TB MicroSD cards. Stonks.

MoiEnNoir Limited Run has made mobile games before. Breach and Clear and Saturday Morning RPG were originally on mobile and iOS. The console ports came later. Same for a few releases they published. The Kemco RPGs started on mobile, and YS Origin started on . Doesn't mean they're bad games.

Simon Edwardes the developers DO get money from Limited Run releases. In some cases, the money from the physical release has saved companies from going under. Also you CAN buy the digital veesion if you want to support the devs.

The vast majority of our releases stay in stock for multiple days and most don't sell for more than $5 - $10 over our price. We've run the math and less than 2% of any given run ends up on eBay.

The problem with Limited Run is they have no quality control. It seems like anyone that reaches out and pays, they’ll print. Their library is a majority retro-styled side scrollers and unknown JRPGs. I love what they do and buy from them when it’s a good game, but those quality releases are too sparse.

Or people who just sell them. Not everyone who sells a game is a scalper. Most releases that aren't hyped out of control for no reason are priced about at about $40 on games that sold for $25-30 + $6 shipping. Then you're simply paying what the person paid + time + packing and shipping + maybe a $5 profit after ebay takes their 10% cut. I know people are used to going into Gamestop and buying a game for $5 from a developer who went out of business 10 years ago, but can't really complain about having to pay close to MSRP.

Hey Jason! I have been inspired by your video reviews (and Kelsey's) of the vita. Funny to see this uploaded today, great timing. I literally just bought a white vita 1001 and 13 games this morning. I am looking forward to watching this. Here are the games I got hopefully they are good choices: child of light, god of war collection, f1 2011, wipeout 2048, metal gear solid hd collection, unit 13, final fantasy xx-2 hd remaster, borderlands 2, uncharted: golden abyss, need for speed most wanted, call of duty: black ops declassified, killzone: mercenary. I owned a switch before and LOVED it, but went through the games I liked and sold it. I think you can see by my game choices why I wanted to try the vita. I will get another switch a little later when it has more games that suit me. Loved it, I hope I love the vita!!! PS I got the 64 MB card, you're right they are still pricey, but everything else was reasonable.

Great selection of games + card. The problem with those large proprietary cards (16GB+) is that they often corrupt, like my 64GB did. I suggest backing up your card monthly just in case. You're lucky that you could find a (White!) OLED model, all the ones in my area were scratched so I ended up going with a black slim model. Have fun with your new vita!

Not bad choices, but keep in mind that some of the titles don't run particularly well on the Vita. It's a great system, but not always well optimized as Borderlands 2 will show you. BACK UP THE MEMORY CARD OFTEN. As others have said, bigger cards corrupt easy. Also one of the real gems of the system is the ability to play "unsupported" PSP titles. There are lists online, but you may need a PS3 at times to load them onto the Vita. You can get some real arcade gems and collections running great on the Vita with the benefit of its analog left stick. Honestly, some of the best titles for the system are digital only, but worth the price during a PlayStation Store sale when you can get a number of the best Vita games for the cost of one physical game. The PS1 Emulation is fantastic also, running PS1 games from the PlayStation Store without issues. You will get a lot out of the system if you leverage its advantages beyond just physical media. HOWEVER, if you can buy physical copies...do that as the install sizes on Vita games can be quite large. Just keep in mind some collections, are really only 1 title on the game card itself and the rest need to be downloaded. Enjoy!

Great video! One cool thing that I've noticed recently is that because LRG has put out SO many games now, the number of people trying for complete collections has dropped drastically. What this means is that often the secondary market price on their games is around what they sold for initially. So if you missed something that you later decide you want, you might still be able to get it for a decent price.

It's cool that they're giving an open pre order option now which is why Bastion was readily available, however one look at their website and you'll see that most of their other great titles are sold out because of their "limited run" business model. It's tough cause most of the games in your video just aren't available to purchase, unless you're willing to pay scalper prices on ebay.

IMaximusDMI Well in my country iz is still pretty pricy to but software from non-EU countries, so if I would someday manage to get an early order in (which never happend so far due to the poor shop they are running it fails 90% of the time for me) And it would cost more than 42 bucks (shipping included) I would still have to pay about 20% extra due to customs. *So If I order something directly from LR shop as preorder I still pay over 100 bucks for any of their games!* ~50 for a game + 30 for the shipping + ~20 for costoms and there you go... welcome to the rest of the world when ordering from US. And thanks to Donald Trump these customs are about to be increased again... -_-

Yes, because the switch has way more demand and they have no way to gauge the limit of the demand where as with the Vita that's how they started so they know the demand. Also, if you look into it, originally part of the gig was that they only were allowed to produce so many copies without paying certain levels of fees as a publisher, hence they ran with it and became LIMITED run games. Key word is LIMITED lol. The deals with Sony only allow them to make so many copies but I'm assuming that the deal with Nintendo is different hence different procedures on making the games. To make Switch games you have to go through Nintendo, period. To make Vita games you have to go through Sony, period. You can only do what they let you for however much you end up paying for

Blame the companies for thinking digital media isn't feasible, even though a lot of the companies LRG works with are small compared to a company like Nintendo or Sony who decide thinga should be digital only for NO REASON. Unlike indie companies, Sony and Nintendo can take the hit if something doesn't sell out immediately.

In the last 5 years, I've seen like 3 people ever play one. I worked in the public school system for a large chunk of that time. You'd see a 3DS's everywhere, even regular DS. No one played Vita. This was not a low-income school, either, so it's not a price issue. People just never gave a shit about. So yeah, there might still be games coming out for it, but it's dead, dude.

Thats only because most people care about AAA titles. Look at almost every gamer around you. PS4 has such a huge support and every PS4 owner has the same 20 titles. I personally hate AAA games since most of them are extremely boring gameplay wise, the last console i thought it was great was Sega Dreamcast and now the PS Vita.

My local used game store has about a half dozen used games for Vita on the shelf compared with hundreds for most of the other systems. Let's be honest, saying the vita isn't dead is like trying to say the wii u is doing just fine. I own a vita and I see little to no reason to play it, many of its worthwhile titles are ports from psp/ps1/ps2 or games that are available on the ps4. The Vita couldn't even compete with the 3ds, now we have the switch to put the last nail in the coffin.

1) Wii U actually discontinue 2) guess what, switch isn't doing that well(is doing well in sales) in the keeping the hype up, since alot of game on switch are Nintendo exclusives and ports(right now), 3) there is still a decent list of games still coming out for vita, 4) the part(is just ports of psp/ps1/ps2, or games available on the ps4) same shit can be said for switch, right now, is just ports 4) remote play exist and it work fantastic(for me atleast), there is enough backlog right now(I am a JRPG fan) to go through that I won't need to buy new games for a while, and again, if I want to play new games, remote play exist(I played the entire god of war and okami in remote play), saying vita isn't dead because guess what, people have different taste in things, western mainstream see it dead, but Japan and Western indie publishers don't see it dead(P3D and P5D is coming to vita in western)

Tain Julio The ps plus won't be covering the ps vita by march of next year, which is a clear sign of sony's intentions on discontinuing the console. If you count a few a far between indies as keeping it alive than the dreamcast is still up and running, right? In reality no console is really dead as long as there is a community to back it up. No need to get all worked up over this, I know many people love the vita and that's awesome, everyone can enjoy whatever they like, there's just no denying it, the vita was never a big deal and will probably never be.

I first heard of Limited Run Games from watching one of your videos. I did wonder if they shipped here to England & thankfully they do, I have been able to get a couple ps4 & ps vita games from them but the only I find is that with being here in England we are a few hours in front of the States so do occasionally miss out on some titles due to what time it is here when they go on sale
