I watched a film called SUPER the other day with ellen page in it and her character reminded me of Ellie so much it's ridiculous. Her personality and looks reminded me so much of Ellie and at one point in the film she gets bored and sings or whistles to herself or something just like Ellie does lol.

You hear them mentioning the words "Performance Capture", "Motion Capture", "Mo-cap"? Watch and LISTEN from 5:16 onwards. Troy (the guy who voices and plays the character of Joel) explains what it is and involves. Both amazing voice over artists.. they fit the characters amazingly well.. Troy also voiced the lead character in BioShock: Infinite.. so thats two lead males escorting female sidekicks through hostile environments that he played. I firmly believe these artists did amazing jobs and brought Joel and Ellie to life - both definitely need awards for their work.. I wouldn't be surprised if Ashley gets chosen as best female voice artist in a video game for 2013. She deserves it.

Might be unrealistic but Bioware need to use performance capture in the next Mass Effect. As I said, it might be somewhat unrealistic considering all the strands of dialog but, wooden acting needs to be replaced by natural.

I would imagine that you have to have a broad, imaginative and rich register of voice so you can do different highs and/or lows for example. I guess you'll have to have vocal abilities that game/movie studios or creators require you to have.

I loved the game and instantly fell for the characters. In my opinion, if they end up making a movie down the road for this game I think I'd rather have Ellen Page play the role of Ellie. I know a lot of people think the comparison is stupid, but I don't want the characters to look too different from the game's characters and the closest person I think could play the part right is Ellen Page. Amazing actor and the looks aren't too far off.
