Detail and particle effects have no impact on lag-that's all processed on your end by the PS5's video card. All the server needs to know is your controller inputs-when and how long you pressed each button-so it can update positions and hits and collisions etc. Lag can and undoubtedly will still be an issue like every other game, but not any particularly worse.

​@tike012 there is more to it than that. The server is more than just inputs. Anytime another character does anything, it also has to be updated on your end and your consoles. Basically requiring more bandwidth is what he's referring to. MMOs like that are far more complex for for every system. Especially server side. Edit: If 8 people cast their ultimates or cooldown at the same time, It more than likely will have hitches... GPU and Server side.

Basically, your character is a "human-helicopter"... or in BDO's case, a "elven-waifu helicopter". I want an MMO with a "souls-like" combat. Less flashy, slowed down a bit, more precise. I am hopeful for this one (Chrono Odyssey), has YOU ACTUALLY SEE characters avoiding (rolling out of) incoming attacks.

Really liked the ragdoll physics, wish more mmo rpgs would incorporate that it just looks better than having enemies use the same death animation.

The only thing games often do wrong with ragdoll is the limits of joint movement (legs bending backwards under a person so their foot reaches their head = not realistic) or they make bodies act as if they were made of light bamboo and blast off into the distance instead of naturally slumping to the ground. I'd love to see a game get ragdoll right, fingers crossed!

This looks nice for sure. Gameplay looks pretty solid and it's a very pretty game. Looks like Black Desert meets TERA and Elden Ring. Characters, classes, and certain aspects of gameplay seem like a cross between those games. It definitely looks like it could be pretty fun. I'll have to keep up on it and see how it progresses. Might have to check it out.

It's gonna be grindy, buggy, laggy, the graphics are gonna get dumbed down and it's gonna constantly throw ingame ads at you so you can buy some item that gives you +50% exp for 6 hours, because the game is too grindy.
