Great to see some love for Legend of Dragoon and Beyond Good and Evil - two of my favourites, too. I would also add Primal (which IS available on PS4!) to the list. Slight spoiler alert - there's a scene in Nier Automata that very much resembles the opening scene of Parasite Eve.

For me I have to go with Grandia on the PS1, a criminally overlooked JRPG with a phenomenal battle system, great characters, an engaging story and enjoyably bad voice acting. My all time favourite game, sure it got a few sequels but Grandia 2 while also a great game just wasn't on the same level as the first and we in the UK never got any of the others, sadly the first game never gets talked about and in all the years since I first played it I've only ever met 2 other people who have played it. It got a digital release on the PS3 so I urge who reads this comment to go and give Grandia a try.

Found out about it on a 20 questions video and it was the best thing ever got on Xbox 360. Took a bit to get used to but definitely was worth it once found out about it. A game that i really love, that i feel doesn't get the love it should have, is Sly 2. I adored it as a kid and i just recently cleared it again not so long ago on the HD collection, and it's safe to say that it still holds up! Also, the trophy list for every game in the Sly HD collection is relatively easy - so if Dave still haven't got a platinum, then i highly, HIGHLY recommend the Sly collection!

I just bought the definitive edition but as far as i've heard from some people the story was disappointing (gameplay-wise it is flawless as far as I am concerned, though). A few games I would say fit into this list: Legend of Legaia (one of my favourite games of all time, with an amazing story and great combat system), The Shadow Hearts games (another great combat system), Digimon World, Jade Cocoon, The Monster Rancher games (with the amazing "put in random CDs or other ps1 games to get different monsters" mechanic)

Legend of Dragoon needs a REMAKE. Don't get me wrong I love Legend of Dragoon. But looking back at it the story needs a lot more of expansion. To me the reason of why we liked it was because of the addition system.... (additions of additions... 😅) Anyway aside from legend of legalia which I barely played this is the only other game back them employing combos on the fighting system. Oh and the fact that you could beat the game without needing to convert to a Dragoon. I want Dragoons and Dragoon additions to be relevant, and more so needed.

The Legend of Dragoon!!! What memories. What hooked me about this game over FF9 (which I tried the same day as Dragoon) was the Addition system. I still haven't gotten around to playing any of the FF series (though I've watched my brothers do so and we've discussed them quite a lot), but Legend of Dragoon is still one of my favorite gaming experiences to date.

Guilherme Batista Alpha Protocol is a fantastic game. Keep in mind it's more mass effect 1 than any of the EA mass effects, and it's got a spy thriller motif instead of a space opera motif, but if those still sound appealing it's well worth it.

Okami, Yakuza, and the PS2 Fatal Frame trilogy. They're finally getting the following they deserve nowadays, but for the PS2/PS3 eras, they were right up there with Beyond Good and Evil and Psychonauts for overlooked status. I'd also argue that Kuon (a J-horror PS2 game made by From Software, which should immediately get any Dark Souls fan's attention) and the Xenosaga games deserve far more love than they got. Hell, in Xenosaga's case, we didn't even get the entirety story because it flew under so many radars! It was supposed to be SIX games, not the three that Namco released. Also, I agree: if any game deserves a sequel after all these years, it's Legend of Dragoon.

8 was easily the most complex of the series. The junction upgrade system and time it took to master triple triad probably brought it down. But the story and gameplay were excellent for it time.

Nah people hate on it now, at the time it was like every other American release of an ff game, rave reviews and all of us trying to beat it. I loved 8, not my favorite but def top 5 and the first one I ever beat. Also the first OST I ever purchased for a game haha

6-10 Are Gold as far as I'm concerned what a run they had. I love 15 too though in it's own right, and the dedication to getting it right whether through updates or dlc has been cool. Excited to see of the ff7 remake battle system is a blend of 15 and the original, that's what it looks like, also looks like what 15 was suppose to when it was still called Versus 13

That's not what he meant, moron. The Sly Cooper series isn't under appreciated. Everyone talks about them and lots of people I know online and irl still play them to this day. It even constantly gets compared to other amazing PlayStation platformers like Ratchet and Clank and Jak and Daxter series.

Glad it wasn't just me that wasn't inspired by Legend of Dragoon to create my own characters and story. Such an amazing game. Loved every bit of it. Would love to see this on the PS shop. Also MORE LOVE IS NEEDED FOR BINARY DOMAIN, PARASITE EVE AND BEYOND GOOD & EVIL 👍 My gran got my copy for PS2 and was mesmerised by it. She loved the story and was gutted when I told her that there is going to be another one but Jade and co aren't going to be in it.

I seriously need to finish Legend if Dragoon... 10+ years, two physical copies before finally being able to get the digital copy, and mutiple restarts since I first played it, and I've never gotten further than the point where you access the dungeon that lets you fight the phantoms of Rose and Zieg's original team. :/

Legend of dragoon was brilliant! Anyone heard of : project eden (ps2) Galarians (Ps1) or silent bomber. All excellent games i never hear anything of anymore!
