VR just doesn't seem all that worth it. You have to spend at least $2k on a computer to run it and then $300 on a headset just for a very mediocre library of games. There are a handful of bangers, but like 80% of the games you buy just end up being a quick 2 hours of fun until you eventually get bored and never open the game again. VR isn't popular enough for game devs to justify dropping enough money on a dedicated VR game. They're expensive to make, expensive to play, and only a small portion of people are actually able to take advantage of it. Horror games are some of the best for VR but they all end up being the same. You're scared for 2 hours, get bored, and then move on to the next title that plays almost exactly as every other game.

skyrim vr was cool to see the scale of many locations, and could feel very immersive but it takes a lot of mods to get there- and it still feels more like a spectacle than anything else. i was running vr on a laptop with the now deprecated windows headset and it worked well enough for me to get the vr experience. but clearly no ones gonna make a whole new rpg for the vr playerbase unless it becomes more accessible. even this game is a bit disappointing since you dont have to actually outsmart the supposedly intelligent aliens.
