I just got started making DnB after about 10 years of making other styles of music and even tho I think good presets are worth the money, I kinda want to get lost in the sound design world of DnB since it seems super fun to me so thank you very much for making this and giving us both options 🙏🏻

Bro thanks for doing a Vital tutorial. I tried to replicate your Serum tutorials in Vital, but couldn't quite get it right.
@DAIMANization3 ай бұрын
Was you using the Serum wavetables with Vital? that does make a difference.
@ArcNade3 ай бұрын
No worries bro! They are similar but have a few differences, biggest ones I’ve noticed so far are the detuning settings and the distortion effect (and some other effects)

@@DAIMANizationworth trying this too far sure to get more wavetable options
@paradoxic18883 ай бұрын
@@DAIMANization No, I paused the video and drew the wavetables manually in Vital. Of course you can export wavetables from Serum, or simply just point Vital to the folder, but I don't own it. Yes Vital has a lot of similarities, but it seems like you have more options when it comes to manipulating the wavetables, plus of course instead of a dedicated bass, you have a 3rd Oscillator.

@@TraxtasyMedia I thought the free version was limited to only presets, not being able to edit them... But apparently I misunderstood, I'll check out the free version soon
@ArcNade3 ай бұрын
@@whole_caveman_or_lions_denI think with the paid version you get access to way more presets, wavetables and the most up to date version of the synth

Bro, your content is good, but you really should call the basic shapes by their actual names. Saw, sine, square, and triangle. It will give your content more reach, and it's foundational knowledge in synthesis! Not trying to be a dick, but it is pretty basic
@ArcNade3 ай бұрын
I see what you're saying, but I want to make sure the content is accessible to everyone, regardless of their experience level. My goal is to make learning easier, which is why I use the visual terms provided. I could go into more technical details, like identifying specific waveforms as square or triangle waves, but that might would confuse some viewers. I’m here to teach in a way that everyone can follow, not to complicate things! Hope this makes sense
@MrZensphere3 ай бұрын
@@ArcNade honestly it doesn't, at least not to me, but you do you bro. I think the role of a music educator is to educate, and no one loses when you call a sine a sine. It would be like an art teacher calling red "color number 1"... It's more confusing in the long run. But, it's your channel and you can run it how you like! 😁 In any case, good content otherwise
@ArcNade3 ай бұрын
@@MrZenspherethat’s fair but everyone is different, might make sense to you but not others… Problem with that is I have to then explain what the shape is every single time I use it, as not everyone will watch every second of every one of my videos, which takes unnecessary time and delays the video, otherwise someone will get confused and not understand that one specific section. It would be best for me just to make an entirely different video on wavetables. It’s not like it makes much difference anyway, as long as you know a sine wave is a sub bass (which I explain in Bass 9 anyway)
