Honestly that is a strength of this channel. I've gotten to know the personalities and play patterns of the guys pretty well, and it makes it easier to track the game flow. And, no offense to Nate, but his spot is probably best for guests.

zirda was most likely not a companion. (you would need to give up on to many powerful cards to play her as a companion (for example gilded drake, seedbornmuse).

Although when the deck intro's name it "Dawnwaker Thrasios", I kind of expected Zirda to be a companion - nothing unique about Zirda otherwise, Training Grounds and Biomancer's already exist in the deck. I guess the deck intro just mislead me.

It a one drop that can produce colored mana on your second turn using your plethora of 2 drop creatures. These 4C lists are super hungry for colored mana, making springleaf drum ideal over something like arcane signet which competes with your 2 drop creatures.
